These were very easy to install. You do need 2.5” to mount inside. Since we couldn’t do outside mount, we barely had the 2,5”. We first attached a 3” wide piece of white trim to our patio door top frame. This blended nicely and you can’t even tell. Gave us that little extra needed space. I didn’t cut all exactly even. In hindsight I should have stacked then and trimmed at same time. Nonetheless, it looks fine. I didn’t want blackout, but I did want some privacy. These allow very limited visibility at night looking in, and during the day enough to see some light while inside. With 4 panels, there is overlap of 1 (6’ patio just slightly wider than 3 panels, so the 4th just gives a more opaque section. Customer service was quite responsive. The only bummer is that you cannot change the layer order. Meaning my patio door opens on the left (when inside). When the shades are pulled, the left panel is closest to the glass, so it can get caught on the handle. But for this price and “customizing” it myself rather than paying considerably more for a company to customize, I can more it out of the way! To increase privacy from outside eyes, I put privacy window film on the glass. In the image you can see the difference. The right side (door) has the film, left side does not. ... show more

Overall decent blinds. While the installation instructions are not the best but if you stop to look at how the whole thing goes together it's pretty simple and quick to install. The blinds slide easily enough along the rails and it looks pretty good. My biggest complaint is that it doesn't come with any kind of cover for the rail/track so the metal bar is exposed and doesn't look the best. The blinds were easy to cut and the little metal bars make it them look good after the cut and weighs the curtains from moving to much. Overall, for for price, I would recommend it. ... show more

I ordered these for our sliding glass door. They are very nice and work well. My husband had these up and working in about an hour. They are modern and block just enough light to save my eyes from the setting sun. They have a sheerness about them so you can still see through them. We love the look. Gives the room texture and elegance. We added a cornice to the top to finish it off and it looks great! It was hard to get the bottom even, but I am OCD. I think you need to do them once they are attached and up, or at least we do. Love the blinds and would not change a thing. Our staircase splits our basement entertainment area and laundry room area. The laundry room side is open and visible while you walk down the stairs. Was looking for something that could be used to hide that space when having guests but make it still easily accessible for ourselves for laundry as well as our cats to get to their liter boxes. These worked great and look good. Our overall decor is more Scandinavian/bohemian so this pattern felt like it fit the best out of all the options I saw. They were relatively easy to install and cut curtains to length needed. As you can see from the photos when lights are out in the laundry room you can’t see anything through curtains, if the lights are on you can see faint shadow/outline of items but still provides plenty of privacy and aren’t too sheer. ... show more

Absolutely beautiful and exceeded my expectations. We live in Florida and have a large south facing sliding door. It brings in a ton of heat and black out curtains were not enough. We needed to be able to keep the curtains drawn sometimes to let the dogs and keep the kids from playing in them. I priced out honeycomb sliding blinds and they were ridiculously expensive. I stumbled upon this and purchased the zipper pattern because it was light filtering, low maintenance, and good for young kids. I was blown away by how good it looked after my husband installed it. I loved that it was easy to put together by myself… I got the forest green and it looked amazing. It’s not so sheer that I feel like people are looking in… Just enough daylight comes through to show off it’s color and It’s quite nice to look at. For the price I paid though, I feel like the way they overlap and Slide could have been better. They’re a little clangy/noisy but probably just due to how lightweight they are, but I find myself correcting their overlap pretty frequently. I purposely didn’t buy the cheaper ones for about $90 because I wanted this particular color and I was hoping these would be super smooth/quality but ….I’m also not going to return them. These blinds look great. We hung them on the inside of the window and it made the whole room look more open without blinds or curtains hanging around the door. We are using it for a sliding glass door. The one we bought is somewhat sheer. You can still see some outside, but that is what we wanted. Overall very happy with the purchase. The only con would be that there were no instructions on how to assemble the blinds. We found the instructions fairly easily online, but not sure why a copy isn't included with the the order. ... show more
