Be sure that the release paper is completely removed as those areas will not seal properly. also be careful as you expose adhesive. to not let the tape touch itself. once down it is done. I ruined some tape while learning worked well for sealing our patio roof, would buy again

Not sure how long this product was on the shelves since it appeared to have stuck to itself from the edges, causing difficulties in separating it from itself. As I attempted to remove the secondary tape from the adhesive side it kept tearing and finally was able to remove enough of it to attempt to install it, but problems having it stick to part of the width about two feet. I then had to remove the thin tape from the adhesive side and noticed the thinner secondary tape had stuck to some of the side of the roll and had torn in a tapered angle not allowing it to stick to the surface. I was able to pull back to where it started to tear and stick to remove it but this kept happening several more times. I ended having to remove more adhesive protective coating than I should have, creating an application nightmare. I was trying to apply one continues length to avoid any leaks. I was verry frustrated with the secondary tape, should be just a little thicker or a new design so the sides of the tape don't stick together like the one I received. Had to use some the self-leveling adhesive to avoid having to waste 10' of tape which I had remove do to protective plastic sticking. Didn't need the aggravation, If it matters to you, need a better design or minimize the storage time, my roll was not round it was a little oval shaped. ... show more
