My boat has a black box stereo built inside the hull that has three AUX inputs, one of them is USB so I can bring a memory stick of my fav songs with me and my Lowrance graph/chartplotter has a HDMI input to watch video on it's screen, it also has all the controls for the stereo. That's great because when I'm trying to see some information video on my phone or tablet it is not readable in the intense sunlight on the water. My chartplotter has about 5 times the brightness that an I Pad or phone has. Will also be able to see HD replays from my GoPro on the boat and on my drone via the HDMI port. I will still need a 3 foot USB extension cable to reach the stereo. the HDMI cable is long enough to reach the graph attached nearby. ... show more

We installed a new stereo in our JeepJK that has two USB input dongles. This adapter has two dongles that plug directly into them. Simply removed lower snap in place dash panel, unplugged the existing lighter and swapped in the new dual USB. The whole install took about 5 minutes.

I added this to my luggage to make it into a smart suitcase. It worked beautifully. Just make sure you add caulking to the back side before you tighten it up and it becomes water tight.
