This is the 2nd one I’ve ordered. The first on lasted 4 years (4 milking seasons). I have Nigerian Dwarfs and currently milking 4 does. I don’t know that I would recommend this for full size goat but it’s great for the mini goats. Highly recommend for first time milkers it’s easy to use, easy to clean, can store all of the parts in the can when not in use. Worth the money!

By small herd, I mean one milker so this is a good size for her and for us. Construction quality is ok, feels a bit on the cheap side, but what can you expect from something at this price. Works well enough, nothing fancy, just a vacuum pump. Overall, it's a good starter machine

Used this twice today, works great. Giving 4 stars instead of 5 because it doesn’t give an option to by smaller claw clusters for Nigerian dwarfs but these worked great for my Nubian.

Everything except the pump is good quality. The bucket I got is shaped like a milk can, not a pail as pictured. When I first connected everything I got no suction at the teat cups or inflations, although there was some vacuum at both ports. After checking everything else I made a gasket for the bucket lid out of a silicone sheet. This was apparently the source of a leak because I did have suction after that. Unfortunately the suction was only good enough for milking at the port going to the bucket and from there to the teat cups. The suction port going to the inflations that is supposed to be pulsatile was never strong enough to collapse the silicone liners and create a pulsatile milking action. I cannot return this item, so I am using the components separately. The milking lines, teat cups, and bucket can be incorporated in my older milking machine, and I use the pump's one functional port with a simple direct suction portable system that I can take into kidding pens to milk new moms without separating them from their kids. I do not recommend this milking system.

Okay, so, yes, before we get started, this is definitely an entry-level product. It's inexpensive because the manufacturer did everything they could to keep costs down—it has no power switch (you turn it on and off by plugging it in or unplugging it), and it's noisy as all get-out. Seriously, when this thing runs, it's LOUD. It's easy to put together—there's a handy instruction sheet, but all the parts are labeled and you simply plug the bit labeled "1" onto the fitting labeled "1," and repeat for 2 and 3. Suction builds slowly. There's only one vacuum circuit, so if one cup loses grip they both fall off. All that said, it works a treat. And, of course, as is the case with many things, the street finds its own uses for things.

Kit seems great, seems to work properly. My goat is pregnant so I cannot yet test it. Cannot wait though to have fresh butter and cheese for sure! Must have if you have goats
