Having already put together a similar tree, this one went together relatively easily. One post was unraveling right out of the box. However this was simply remedied with some fabric glue. Tree is just a bit wobbly but for the most part is sturdy. My heavy pixibob initiated the tree by running up to the top level. After getting her paw stuck on one of the posts. I have four cats two of which have already checked out the tree. I have one cat without claws (not by my choice) who has been able to check out all levels with the help of two step ladder features. I expect my small cat which has Cerebellar hypoplasia and cannot coordinate her limbs well enough to climb, will in time be able to use the ladders to access the large and small boxes. The boxes are large enough to accommodate my pixibob (who weighs 20 lbs.) Comfortably although her head has to be outside the small box. The mouse toy caught the attention of the two cats right away All in all this tree is a good value for the price. My cats will get a lot of fun from playing on it, and will use the top platform to view their "catdome " while getting their cat naps in.

So all in all I would give this a 5/5 rating. It looks very nice in the room and even though my cat is a pretty big dude it holds up well to him traipsing all over it. The cat ABSOLUTELY loves this tree. Hands down his favorite piece of furniture in the house. Now down to the side notes for the people who worry. All in all - I prefer to hold onto my money, but I would definitely buy him this again knowing how nice it is. The material on all of the layers is very soft and the tree itself looks very nice in our living space. I do have to give it a 3/5 in terms of easiness to assemble - assembly itself was absolutely easy, BUT the pieces weren't labeled so there was some tinkering with the instruction sheet to figure out what was what (it would not take a genius to piece this together even without the labels on the different pieces). I would say 4/5 purely because I feel like it needs a slightly heavier or wider base - it does seem to be very stable and has not so much as tipped yet, but it does rock a little if the cat gets a running start to take off up the tree, but again, he is a big guy (not chunky, but large in size) so when he hits it with full zoomies and weighing in at about 12lbs it does rock the tree a little (I say rock because the bottom does not leave the ground, but the upper portions sway on contact (and yes all of the material seems very sturdy, none of the screws have loosened at all).

This cat tree is extremely sturdy and stable. Our cats are obsessed with it and spend most of their sleeping time curled up on it. My cats were climbing all over it before I could even finish assembling it. We've now ordered two of these and are again impressed by the quality. We only got rid of the old one because it was 4 years old, and our cats had completely obliterated all of the rope by then (as expected). Could have re-roped it myself but didn't want to go through the hassle. Easy to assemble. 100% worth the money.

We got this for our 14-month old chonky girl, Kiki. She's an independent little cuss who is too proud to admit that her Hoomans can ever do anything that suits Her Majesty, so we were very pleased when she took obvious pleasure in exploring her first cat tree. As it turns out, she was reluctant to try the top perch when we assembled the tree yesterday, preferring the lower level (as pictured), but she's up there taking a snooze as I write this. She doesn't have much use for the cubbies - she's too big for the small one, and just hasn't displayed any interest in the large one, but she loves the attached fuzzy toy and has practically destroyed it already. Assembly was pretty easy and took Hubs and me a grand total of 40 minutes - which would have been shorter had Hubs paid closer attention to the size of the support posts. They're not listed in order of size on the instruction sheet (which consists of drawings but no narrative), and that probably threw him off. Everything went together easily, there were no missing parts, and we didn't have any problem with the hardware cross-threading or stripping. As for the perching platforms... they looked terribly small when we took them out of the box, but Kiki manages to squish her 14.5 lb. butt into them and appears to be comfortable even though she tends to spill out over the edges a bit. The material is a very soft plush, but there's not a whole lot of cushioning, if any. Kiki doesn't seem to mind, though. The little ramps/ladders are cute, but they're too short to really be of any use, as it makes them too steep for an adult cat. A small kitten would probably find them fun and useful, though. The sisal scratching posts seem to be well-constructed, and it's nice that there are so many of them. Stability: This tree is every bit as tall as the description says, and it seemed to be stable enough when we left it in the middle of the room, but it still wobbled a bit, and I think that kept Kiki from exploring it to the fullest when it was newly assembled. She was much more receptive when we put it up against a wall, and I'd even go so far as to recommend that it be placed in a corner if at all possible. Overall first impression: Well worth the price paid. At six feet high, I believe this is better suited for adult cats, but if you have a small kitten, you might be able to wangle a partial assembly, adding levels as your kitten grows.

This was so easy to put together, other than our cats trying to climb on it as we built it. They immediately rejected their old tree and have only wanted this one. It looks great, is sturdy and has so many options for cats to choose from. It is very tall, but narrow so it doesn’t take up too much space.
