  • Engine runs like new!
If you have a 2015 or 2016 trax, you will eventually (usually at 60k miles) notice a rough idle and increased fuel/oil consumption. Usually this means the check valve in the intake manifold is gone, which causes high vacuum in the valve cover and blows the PCV. You can replace the PCV and valve cover, but the problem will keep happening until this part is replaced as well. It is a poor design from GM that the valve and PCV are not replaceable without requiring entire new assemblies, but that is a separate issue. This part seems to be genuine OEM, fit perfectly, and solved the problem. I've put 10k miles on without any problems. I also appreciate the fast shipping speed that allowed me to get the vehicle up and running again quickly. I will buy again when the check valve disappears in another 50k miles. ... show more

  • Great Dorman products , Better than factory unit. Every thing you need to install.
Turbo control solenoid tube is on top of the manifold instead of the bottom where it plugged up with oil and carbon.

  • Way cheaper than the dealer for the exact same part.
Compared to the dealer price for the same thing this is a great deal. Gm part so fit was perfect. Easy to install if you have a few mechanical skills and saves a lot of money. Buy the evap tube at the same time cause the original will break guaranteed.

  • Buy it if you own a GM 1.4 turbo and have 60k miles
Best price sent to my door quickest. Installation was easy and straight forward. Fixed my smoking at full boost full throttle letting off at 49 mph to no throttle. Fixed my oil consumption. Silly check valve issue. You can plan to replace the intake every 60,000 - 90,000 miles. Poor oem design places a silicone check valve in a non serviceable location resulting in your engine eating it and pressurizing your crankcase, destroying the non-serviceable pcv valve in the valve cover and destroys the check valve in the pcv to turbocharger inlet tube. This part cost me nearly $300 total for it and the ancillary parts it destroyed. ... show more

Received and installed this today. Fit perfectly on my 1.4l 14 cruze. Was a little hesitant to purchase as it did not have pictures but I took a chance and it came in a brand new unopened packaging from GM themselves. I do all my own work and removal and install we're a breeze. Only comes with the intake itself and the gaskets including the gasket for the throttle body. Will post an update if I run into any issues. ... show more

  • Bad from the start
The PCV valve in this replacement was bad from the start, It is still there, but it doesn't seal properly. Apparently, this is not uncommon. Caused massive amounts of oil to be used. After three months of this, and replacing every other part that could be having issues, I wound up getting a "mod kit" from a popular third party and repairing the old one. Now this new one is an expensive paperweight, as it is long out of the return window. ... show more
