Description

ACDelco GM Original Equipment Radiators are GM-recommended replacements for your vehicles original components. Radiators are heat exchangers, typically located in the front of the vehicle where air can flow through the fins and dissipate heat. Modern radiators are made from aluminum and plastic, while older vehicles used copper and brass. These radiators are designed to be corrosion resistant with optimal heat transfer characteristics. These original equipment radiators have been manufactured to fit your GM vehicle, providing the same performance, durability, and service life you expect from General Motors.

  • Excellent product, poor packaging
Very please with the price and the overall build quality of the product. However I got nervous and was considering return the shipment for the simple fact that the packaging was extremely poor for such a large and heavy item. The side of the boxe was pushed toward the inside and left some marking on the fins of the radiator. Anyway after testing found no leaks and proceeded to install. If that was not for the packaging I would probably have given a 5* as the product is OEM and pricing is good. ... show more

  • GM part, but...what the heck??!!
The radiator appears to be ACDelco original part. The problem I have with the radiator, which is to me is a big issue, is the fact that the drain port at the bottom of the radiator was not tapped and prepared for a removable drain plug or petcock for draining in the future. What the heck?! Every radiator I’ve seen in my life has had a drain. The mold that this radiator was made from is prepared for a drain, but appears like they neglected to finish the job. Radiator is working as it should. I don’t look forward to replacing the water pump or thermostat in the future. Coolant will go everywhere except into the drain pan. No Bueno. ... show more

  • So much for genuine GM replacement parts
It leaks. Does anyone know what the warranty is on this radiator? The design changes are not for the better. No petcock and the trans cooler and oil cooler fitting are different on how they mount through the tanks. During installation the first leak was at the top oil cooler fitting. It appears the conical washer on the fitting was the problem. The fitting bottoms out in the oil cooler bung and the washer is supposed to hold things tight. I was able to reshape the curve of the washer a bit and that leak seemed to stop. But then as I filled the system with more coolant another leak appeared near the top of the drivers side tank right below the top hose neck. I am past the Amazon return window at this point and I'm very disappointed to say the least. I can't rate zero stars for what at this point is a useless part. ... show more

  • Why No Drain Petcock Valve?
I installed this a couple weeks ago and so far there are no leaks from any of the oil fittings. Mine had motor oil and transmission fluid connections. The packaging was very good and none of the fins were bent. The thing that baffles me is it does not have a drain petcock valve. Why would you manufacture a radiator without a way to drain the fluid?? I suppose that's why this one costs less than those that auto parts stores carry. My truck is a 2000 Chevy Silverado 2500 4WD 6.0L. ... show more

  • Wish I'd bought another brand
It's a shame that GM eliminated the drain plug. It would probably cost them an extra 50 cents to just make the stupid thing with a drain plug, which I would gladly pay. I knew this before I ordered, but in retrospect I wish I'd bought an aftermarket radiator that can be drained without pulling a hose. ... show more

  • Oem fit and function
Radiator fit perfect (03 1500hd). No petcock but it's just as easy to pop off the bottom hose to drain the radiator if need be. Also, a petcock is one less place to leak. Radiator was double-boxed and packed securely. Price was way less (<$200) than local part stores for cheap aftermarket units.
