GM Climbing 6mm accessory cord great for knot-tying practice and prusiks.
Size: 1/4 in x 50 ft Style: Green
Great rope-standard static-line construction. Solid body doesn't squish. Perfect for cutting sections and learning knots. While it is slightly stiff initially, it bends more easily after much use. After dozens of hours of use looks brand new. Be sure to melt ends well when cutting. While some say it does not make secure knots, that is because they are not tightened properly. This rope teaches secure tightening. Also, when learning it takes the frustration out of trying to undo knots that discourages kids (and adults) when repeatedly practicing knots. For me, this rope words well for prusiks as long as you use even a slightly larger main cord. Also works great on 2- strands of self. VERY highly recommend. ... show more

The Perfect Wilderness Safety and General Utility Rope
Size: 1/4 in x 100 ft Style: Green
This rope is strong, tough, and supple--perfect for hanging backpacks, lining canoes on rivers, and tying down tents. I'd trust it with my own weight, too. I just used it to re-hang a heavy pressure washer (using block & tackle) in my garage after the first rope (by a different company) proved inadequate. I'm a knot-tying nerd, and I love how easy it is to tie and untie knots with this rope. ... show more

feels like quality cord.
Size: 1/4 in x 50 ft Style: Green
the cord feels sturdy and long lasting. it works for making prussik loops, tying down tents and other gear, it could even serve as tie down cord for tripods in a rope rescue operation. the color is very usefull because it is high visibility. would definitely buy again!

Good but Don't Mistake it for Life Supporting Prusik Cord
Size: 1/4 in x 20 ft Style: Black
Good cord and it makes nice prusiks but not for use on lifelines. I purchased it for miscellaneous, accessory use as advertised but it ties so well, I was tempted to use it on my tree tethers and linesman ropes. After confirming on GM's website that their sewn prusik loops are made w/this same cord, it has a working load of 630 lbs. By comparison, the Sterling 6 mm TRC sewn Prusik that came w/my 8mm Resc Tech Captive Lineman Belt System has a working load of 2810 lbs. I'll stick w/the TRC for any lifelines. ... show more

Great for Pruskiking
Size: 1/4 in x 50 ft Style: Green
I bought the recommended utility line from REI and it was too mushy and jammed (grr!). You don't want that because there you are clinging to the rope and having to loosen the jammed Klemmheist. This is just the right balance between stiffness and softness. It slides up effortlessly and sticks like glue under weight. Also, the luminous color makes it stand out from the climbing rope, as it should. It is real climbing accessory cord with detailed documentation in a leaflet in the bag. Hat's off to the supplier. ... show more

A little stuff as accessory cord.
Size: 1/4 in x 100 ft Style: Green
The rope is used for my Z pull system for my motorcycle. And just around the garage. As some have mentioned, the rope feels a little more on the stiffer side. Price was right, bright color for easy to spot it. We'll see how long it will last!

Good rope
Size: 1/4 in x 20 ft Style: Black
Used one of these for a makeshift lineman's rope while climbing into someone else's treestand this season. The treestand had no lifeline installed so I wanted to make sure I had some sort of protection climbing up. I bought a second bunch which I used to pull my backpack and rifle up after I was situated in the stand. The rope was great quality and the knots that I tied in them held well but were also easy to remove for storage after I was done hunting for the season. ... show more
