Glycolic Acid is almost as good as Retinol for my skin. I like both and use both but not on the same days. These pads also have a little bit of Salicylic Acid for clear skin. I don't have blemishes but it's a nice extra. The pads are very wet and thin. One covers my face and neck with some to spare for the back of my hands. I leave it on. I am so used to these acids that they don't burn or irritate my skin and I don't need to build up to using them. This mixture doesn't sting at all nor does it cause any redness. Although it is called a peel, my skin never really peels. It does with Retin A, the prescription strength retinoid, but never with any over the counter stuff. But chemically it peels by causing my dead skin cells to dissolve and allowing new, fresh cells to emerge. My skin is older and dry but these pads don't make my face feel any drier than usual. They make my skin look clear and smooth. These are very similar to many other GA pads and they are priced reasonably. Used 2 - 3 times a week as suggested, the 50 pads will last four to six months. $21.00 two or three times a year is a steal for these types of pads. I am not sure if they are as strong as the pricier pads I have used though. They seem to be quite mild. Still, they help skin to look clearer without irritation.

I am in my late 40's with dry, sensitive skin. This comes in an unsealed box. The plastic cap that is usually under the lid was floating loose in the box. There is a foil seal under the twist off lid so it does have tamper protection. These are fairly thin cotton rounds but not so thin that they don't hold up to use. The round is textured but is not rough so doesn't feel weird to use. There was more than enough liquid on the pad to treat my face and neck. I didn't have issues when I applied this, but when I woke up in the morning I found that my skin was very dry and tight feeling despite applying an oil before bed. I do feel that it helped lighted my dark scar spots on my skin, but I also found that I am going to have to limit use. Once or twice a week will be all my skin will tolerate.
