I currently use a Daytona 3/4 open face helmet and I wanted a second full face helmet for rides when I feel especially vulnerable. Here are my pros and cons for the GLX: PROS: 1. VALUE: surprised to find such an affordable helmet at this level of quality. This is just as nice if not nicer than other full face helmets I've owned in the past, at a fraction of the cost. 2. WEIGHT: Heavier than my Daytona 3/4, but lighter than many full face helmets at this price range (4 to 5 pounds). 3. COMPACT: Huge compared to my Daytona! But not as wide as a lot of full face helmets. At least I don't look like Toad from Super Mario Brothers. 4. SECOND TINTED VISOR: Easy to replace the clear and will leave it on even during night rides. 5. VENTS: Easy to operate and hope they stay functioning. 6. COMPANY: Headquartered in Duarte, CA, within the SGV, my old stomping grounds. Represent. CONS: 1. TIGHT: Listen to the people; this thing is snug. Supposedly larger than my Daytona (and the 1Storm I just returned), but feels just as snug, if not more so. I have big cheeks and they feel violated- got a compression headache the first time I tried it on. Would consider exchanging for a medium, but my suspicion is that it will be more comfortable once broken in. I am able to wear my glasses with it on. 2. WEIGHT: Obviously heavier than a 3/4 open face helmet, if that's what you're used to. 3. CHIN CURTAIN: I'm worried I'm going to lose this thing while riding. I bought my regular helmet size, and for a few rides, the fit was way too tight. Eventually, the inside padding broke in and now the helmet fits securely and comfortably on my head. It came with two face shields/visors, one clear, and one dark-tinted. Both shields/visors have spots where one's vision is wavy because of shield quality/distortion issues, no matter how I cleaned it. I haven't tested the helmet's crash-worthiness, nor dropped it from high heights, so I can't tell you about any quality or safety features. Wearing glasses or sunglasses with this helmet is a PITA cause there isn't an area/channel for the stems that go on one's ears. There isn't a port for BlueTooth installation on the helmet. There are air vents on the helmet that work quite well at keeping the head cool. It's a good basic helmet for the price or a second helmet if needed. ... show more

I bought this to be able to ride on the freeway. Wore a half helmet previously with glasses and had a really rough time, this has been very durable and great to use. Now in the winter I've been using it with my kickscooter instead of a helmet, scarf and beanie, keeps my head really warm! does fog up somewhat decently without much ventilation, but as long as your moving it's alright. tried using my headphone buds one time with it and massively regretted it, too much pressure directly on the ears. would consider this same thing with a bluetooth speaker of sorts. did have the chin cover fall off instantly, but haven't regretted that. ... show more

Uses helmet on my larger skateboard so I don’t die going 40 mph. Only problem I have with it is it’s a little heavy he can fog up in the cold and be tight on your head
