I'm happy I made this purchase! This light has an excellent range of its color spectrum and brightness. It is very powerful. I have another grow light and this light makes it look as if the other light is barely running. The operation buttons are easy to understand. So far, my plants have reacted positively to the use of the lamp and I've only had the lamp a week. Their leaves are already darker with more vibrant, healthier looking green coloring. The lamp is heavy enough to stand without worrying about it toppling over. That was a concern I had from other lights as well. I have two of these, one in black and one in white, in different areas. Probably my favorite lights. Stable base (not a tripod!). These lamps supplement the light that my many, many plants love. Noticeable difference with less leaf damage, more healthy growth, perky petioles, and fluffy, full leaves. The timer function, along with setting options, makes for an easy and reliable solution. You can see the two halos in the picture, the base is on the floor. I do not find the lamps distracting. I love being able to control the placement and angle of the lights due to the bendable necks. This grow light. is probably the best purchase i've ever made for my indoor plants. The height and coverage width are completely adjustable. I purchased the one with 2 lamps and the rods that the lamps are attached to are very flexible. The lamps are very thin and their angle can be adjusted easily, so they shine right where you want them, and they look very classy. The base is not terribly heavy, so I have set a pot on the edge of the base to ensure that it doesn't tip over, although I don't think it would. I love the timer because it allows you to set it for a certain number of hours, then it automatically turns itself on and off. In the summer I set it for 12 hours, and in the winter I'll probably dial it back to 9. You can't really see this in the photo but the area where I have these plants clustered does not receive a lot of natural sunlight. So I was very gratified to see how much my plants have grown since I set up this lamp for them. ... show more

I'm so glad I chose this light. It is not only making my plant really happy but it feels good to have this light on me. I'm very sensitive to light quality, this one is top notch. The necks are flexible and sturdy to hold the weight of the lights. They stay in place. They fit on two sides of my tropical tree so it doesn't start bending. The assembly was intuitive and easy.
