It was very easy to put together (and included some extra hardware, which is nice), but is still very sturdy. It's not AS sturdy as one that you buy already assembled, but I have no qualms about the stability. It comes with the necessary hardware to fasten it to the wall, but I didn't even use that because I didn't think it was necessary. Our kitties (we have four, two under a year and two 12yos) absolutely love it! They do prefer our other tower for long naps (or the top shelf of this one, or the very bottom compartment of this one) and that might be because the surfaces of the other shelves are pretty hard and thinly carpeted, but it also might just be because it's much newer and they haven't gotten used to it yet. We're going to try and put some spare carpet on the shelves to see if that changes their minds, but even without that addition, they love this tower for playing (and again, resting but not on every level) and I couldn't be happier with my purchase! ... show more

I bought this cat tree for two senior cats. It was easy to put together and the cats love it. The toys are still attached, but these cats are 15 years old and a younger cat might engage in rougher play with the toys. The tree has supported the weight of both of them with no issues. Cleo approved! While this is definitely an economical option as far as cat trees go, it is well-designed, well-made, and stable. Everything goes together easily and the spaces and places are of genuine interest to a cat. The attached toys, which are normally junk, are decent quality and should last for awhile. They are attached with proper strapping and screws and not just cheap staples. This is a notable hint at overall quality. Cleo does have a favorite spot to scratch and I question how long the fabric and sisal will last though I imagine these could be easily replaced with some hot glue and effort. I am honestly so impressed with this cat tree. I originally bought it because the gothic red and black design matched my home aesthetic perfectly, but it ended up being way more functional than I expected. The biggest thing for me was finding something that could actually support larger cats, and this one delivers. One of my cats is 23 lbs and he uses it constantly with no issues. It feels sturdy, doesn’t wobble when they jump or climb, and the platforms are large enough for him to comfortably lounge which is rare with most cat trees. I also love the height. It gives them multiple levels to explore, and the top perch has quickly become their favorite spot. The condo areas are roomy and cozy, and the scratching posts and hanging toys keep them entertained throughout the day. Assembly was straightforward and everything felt solid once put together. Overall, this is one of the few cat trees I’ve found that checks all the boxes: it looks amazing, it’s sturdy, and it’s truly big cat approved. buying a cat tree from a pet store is such a rip off. this is the third cat tree i’ve gotten online and they’re much bigger for better price. i have 2 large cats and they both love this tree. i especially like how the top perch is supported by two pillars, and the space to lay is large. it came with extra hardware which was great, just incase. i like the color scheme and it was easy to put together!! it is sturdy and my cats love it ... show more

Easy to assemble. Moderately durable. The fabric material sheds a bit, especially when putting it together. End result is a bit wobbly and I can’t anchor it to the wall where I need it, but I have it braced against the wall and a short bookshelf and it’s fine. My cat is only 9lbs and isn’t overly rambunctious with it, I just needed a way for her to be able to enjoy the high window. She also likes the hanging mice.
