How did I not know a glass pen would become one of my most helpful kitchen tools all these years? But I have one now! This thing is invaluable for dating leftovers or freezer items, eliminating the need for guessing and sniffing. Best of all, I make homemade kombucha and use the marker to write each variety’s ingredients and date on the bottle, giving it that artisanal look, as well. Love it. Tip: If you find the ink running dry, push the felted part of the tip in against the bottom of the glass to wet the end again and it’s good to go. The ink stays on, even while handling and moving bottles around, yet it all washes off easily with a swipe of soap and water. ... show more

It works well as long as there is ample paint on tip of the pen. During continuous use I noticed that sometimes there would be moments when there wasn’t enough ink and the pen top would not slide on the surface. I used the pen to mark car windows for a fundraising car wash. Eventually I noticed that I can flip the felt tip around and then it worked great! Purchased for marking glass Mason jars (with fermentation dates). Results were disappointing. Not sure if due to the jar's curved surface (vs writing on a flat surface) but it wasn't easy to get the ink to transfer with a clean, uniform look. Thinner in some parts more than others, and didn't feel very satisfying to use. Too easily smudged off days later, while handling the jar, and the white ink didn't cover too well. ... show more

I need to write upon glass quite a bit. I tried the markers that are sold as being for wine glasses, here on the Amazon site. These were worthless. Some didn't work, straight out of the package. The ones that did work, dried up after I wrote a few letters. This marker is awesome!
