  • These are lipglosses not blush
Color: Grape & Orange
This review is for the Glam Code Color-Changing Blush Oil Duo, a hydrating blush for cheeks. One of them is orange-scented and orange-colored, then transforms into a beautiful medium-toned pink. The other is purple, smells like grape, and turns into a lovely pink with purple undertones. The thing is, this listing says these are blushes for cheeks, but they’re clearly lip glosses. It even says “lip gloss” on the actual packaging. Personally, I wouldn’t want to put this on my cheeks because it has the texture of typical lip gloss. You could apply it to your cheeks and then blot it with a paper towel, but that might disturb the rest of your makeup. Let’s face it, most of us probably don’t want to put lip gloss on our cheeks. As lip glosses, though, I find them beautifully colored once they’re on my lips. They’re shiny, with just a hint of glitter, barely noticeable. I’m reducing this to four stars because the listing doesn’t correctly identify what the products actually are. That said, I really do like the shades they produce on my lips and the glossy finish. I personally think the price is higher than it should be. I just wiped it off and it leaves a nice stain on my lips. I think this is how I will use the rest of it up. ... show more

  • Fun colors
Color: Grape & Orange
I actually thought these were lip oils at first and I applied them to my lips--they do work well as lip oils or lip glosses and the colors are fun when they change. But I see that they are described as blush oils and I also tried them that way. They work both ways. A few dots on my cheeks blended in, and I have a nice flush of color. The purple one smells like grape and the orange one like orange soda. They feel slightly sticky after applying as blushes, which is why I like them a little better as lip oils. The grape color is actually a really nice color for a blush as it turns into a sheer reddish flush on me. Whether you use them as lip oils or blush oils, or both, these are fun and the colors and scents make them an enjoyable product at an inexpensive price. ... show more

  • Glam Code Color-Changing Blush Oil Duo
Color: Grape & Orange
This is marketed as a coloring changing blush, but it can also be used o the lips. I tried it first as a blush and while it does show up as a very pretty pink, the applicator makes it really hard to apply enough product to really create a nice look. It's very patchy when applying it over foundation. I feel this is more suited to those who don't use foundation and is only looking for a light more subtle blush of color. I did try it on the lips and it's a very pretty shade of pink. I much prefer it as a lip gloss over a blush. You're getting 2 for $20 but it's more of a gimmick than anything. For the price, I'd rather have a regular cream blush and as a color changing lip gloss, it's a bit overpriced. ... show more

  • These are terrible in every way
Color: Grape & Orange
Okay, so the product page says that these are for cheeks. When I received them, I tried one of the colors on my cheek. With just a little tiny bit, it made me look like a doll, and not in a good way. My husband came out when I was trying it, and the comments I received were comical. It was also really thick and sticky and super gross feeling on my skin. I ran to the bathroom, scrubbed up my face, and got it off the best that I could, but I could still feel the thick stickiness on my cheek for the rest of the evening. Today I looked at the package as I took product photos, and it says that it's for lips. Well, the sickly sweet scent of grape makes more sense if it's actually lip gloss. I thought that I must have been mistaken about it being blush - until I looked at the product page before this review, and certainly it does say that it's blush, and it even shows some gals who look like bright cheeked dolls in the photos. Okay, so I try both colors as lip gloss. They taste sickly sweet and not good at all. They stay sticky on the lips, and the color change makes my lips look like I've just eaten a red popsicle. I tried to wipe it off, and nope! It won't come off. It's a sticky mess that has stained my lips. I actually used a face cleanser after using a towel, and water didn't do anything to remove this stuff. Even with lathering up my lips really well, it still only got rid of most of the stickiness, but not the color. Honestly, this is the worst lip or cheek product that I have ever tried. The colors are garish, both before and after application. The flavor is icky, and the quality feels like something that one would get at a dollar store. I took my photos and then tossed them in the trash. No thank you. ... show more

  • Keep out of reach of children
Color: Peach & Grape
I like the colors, especially the pink one. The violet is more suitable for cooler tones, and the pink is more suitable for warmer tones, but they are both nice. I don't really like them as a blush because they are hard to blend. With that being said about me liking the colors as a lip gloss, I am reluctant to continue using them because the label says not to swallow and to keep out of reach of children in very large print. It makes me wonder how safe this is to apply to my lips, where I will inevitably lick and swallow the gloss. For that reason, I cannot recommend. I will not be putting this on my lips again, and I don't like the way it blends as a blush. ... show more

  • Sticky but decent color
Color: Peach & Grape
I got these hoping for a lightweight, hydrating lip oil, and while it delivers on hydration and color, the overall experience is pretty mixed. The PH activated color works good, it adjusts to a lovely shade on the lips, and the gloss itself makes my lips feel soft. The shimmer is also very attractive. The major drawback for me is the texture. I found this gloss to be quite sticky. It's not the absolute worst I've used, but I wouldn't call it lightweight and non sticky as advertised, my hair definitely sticks to it if it gets in my face. The other issue is the scent. It doesn't smell the best, it has a faint, slightly chemical or plastic aroma when you open the tube and first apply it. The smell leaves pretty quickly, but it's noticeable enough to be off putting initially. Overall, it's a decent gloss for the color and moisturizing properties, but the stickiness and scent aren't the best. The color however does last a few hours. ... show more
