I love the sturdiness of the bag. But I have to say, I couldn't stretch the band around my trashcan. I have a normal 13 gal can, not anything odd. My husband had no issue. It's just my arthritic hands. Thought I should mention it tho 'cause if you lived alone and had arthritis like mine, these bags would be unusable and super frustrating. ... show more

I prefer unscented trash bags and these fit the criteria! They are pretty sturdy. I don't have a large trash can so I never fill them up all the way, so I can't comment if you have a large bag and stuff trash until the bag barely closes. My complaints: the drawstring does not cinch correctly or close fully. Also, as for packaging, it would be great if the item was mailed in a larger box in order to conceal the contents (which would prevent ppl in one's building from opening the box and helping themselves to trash bags while the package is in the lobby). ... show more

I wish there was a way to end the need for garbage bags in its entirety. I have informed my children that is their responsibility to find a way to decrease packaging and increase reusablity of items to avoid further plastic bag use. They are actively working on this project, give them 6 more years to get to high school and we might have a better solution. But until then, this bag is good, doesn’t tear, no leaks, ties work well. I felt confident in my trudging to the garbage bin in front of the neighbors. I held that bag aloft like it was a prize. And flung it neatly into the community bin. ... show more

The trashman came up to my door and knocked. I was rather surprised to see him but he said he just had to come to tell me how wonderful my trashbags were. He said he does not often get to see such a nice trash bag. I swear he had tears in his eyes. It was a beautiful sight to behold a trash man and a beautiful bag of trash. One time I accidentally bought lavender scented trash bags at Walmart. YUCK. Lavender stinks. Luckily, I didn't use any of them and Walmart let me exchange for some nonstank bags. Do people really like lavender or do they just force it on innocent babies to make them be quiet. Poor litgle baby is probably thinking "maybe if I go to sleep this smell will go away".
