What a game changer for snorkeling! The view in the water is amazing. You can see a much greater span of water without obstruction. It fits snugly around the face with no leakage. Having one piece to keep up with is a bonus. You don't have to worry about the snorkel becoming detached from the mask. The only reason I gave this a 4 star is that there a learning curve to breathing. Because you are breathing through the nose, I had to learn to take slower, deeper breaths. Initially, I had found myself taking short, quick breaths and I felt distracted from enjoying the ocean. With breathing practice, it is much nice to explore with a full face mask.

I've seen some people using full face snorkels and wondered how well they work as I've heard that during long use there is a problem of CO2 building up in the mask. I requested one to try out as my wife hates snorkeling simply because of the snorkel concept. I received an XL size mask, based on the size diagram on the website. The mask fits fairly comfortable, although it feels a little low on my forehead. I tried it out in my pool and was pleasantly surprised to find it works. I could breath normally through my nose and little if any water leaked into the mask (although the water might have been residual from rinsing it out prior to use). I swam around the pool for 10 to 15 minutes and couldn't really tell if there was any CO2 buildup. I suspect that there isn't since the air flow section of the mask doesn't really have any area that it could build up. I did get some fogging up, but then I've yet to use a mask that doesn't eventually fog up. I haven't yet tried it out in the ocean to see how the snorkel performs with waves, but since it does have a ball valve to prevent water entering (like most snorkels), it shouldn't be an issue. Overall, this is a pretty good alternative to using a mouth snorkel.

I've been wanting to get one of these snorkel masks for some time. Between the mask fogging and the snorkel filling with water, I had enough. This full-face mask solve both issues. The snorkel detaches from the mask for storage. I found it difficult to get positive engagement of clasp. It felt like an excessive amount of force was needed to overcome the friction of the seal. But you definitely want positive engagement of that clasp to prevent the snorkel from detaching and your mask filling with water. I tested the mask in and out of the water. With heavy breathing, the mask did fog a little on a strong exhale, but the next inhale of fresh air cleared the fog, so it never got excessive. The silicone face seal works well. It's comfortable and keeps water out of the mask, to a point. The dry top system has it's ups and downs. When submerged it does prevent any water from entering. But if you don't know it is submerged, when you inhale, a negative pressure is created inside the mask which then draws water in from somewhere. To get rid of the water, you just need to exhale and the water is ejected through the bottom port. But now you need to get above the surface to inhale or you're sucking in water again. I think this is just getting used to the way the product works and the comment is more of a heads up than a ding against the product. The mask comes with a set of earplugs, a replacement seal, and a 6 month free replacement warranty from the seller. I am looking forward to using this in the ocean this summer. The hot tub didn't provide nearly enough room to get the full experience!

This mask is actually quite handy and seems to have a better field of view than my standard snorkel mask. The rubber seal does a good job sealing around the face and then it feels like one of those filter masks with nothing to bite down on in your mouth. That alone makes it easy to share a mask with someone and not have to have your own snorkel. The price for this mask is reasonable for what you are getting, it does not strike me as a top-of-the-line mask, but it certainly does what it is intended to do. This is a great alternative to just a normal snorkel mask and snorkel, making it a little more fin under the water. I would say don’t forget to resurface more often to make sure you don’t get too much CO2 building up in your mask. Other than that I am happy with this mask and certainly will appreciate the panoramic view.
