Features

  • Structural Integrity: The proprietary AURA II Reinforcement Arch makes everything possible. These shatter-resistant, translucent twin bridges run throughout the helmet, providing structural integrity without adding unnecessary weight. Aries ultra-low weight, impressive cooling power and sleek, compact shape would not be possible without AURA II.
  • Spherical Technology And Mips Protection System: Ball-and-Socket Design, powered by MIPS, redirects impact forces without compromising comfort, ventilation, weight or style. The market-leading protection system designed to address rotational motion, for an added measure of protection in certain impacts.
  • Cool Comfort: Deep internal channels connect with Aries massive front and rear vents. This system provides a path for cool air to flow over the riders scalp and exit the rear, taking excess heat with it. Aries also debuts our revolutionary DryCore sweat management system. A soft, silicone bead is hidden within the plush brow pad that redirects sweat away where it can evaporate more easily. 21 Wind tunnel vents.
  • Streamlined Speed: When it comes to going fast, smaller truly is better. To craft Aries, we focused on reducing the frontal surface area to eliminate more drag. Add in tiny details like chamfered edges on the AURA II, and meticulously engineered internal channeling that actually speeds up the air as it exits the helmet, and Aries emerges as the climbing helmet that doesnt sacrifice speed.
  • Reflective Details And Eyewear Docking Ports: Reflective Details enhance visibility at nighttime or in low-light conditions when illuminated by a light source, such as headlights, by returning the light back to the source and reaching the driver's eye. Integrated eyewear docking ports with rubber grippers help to secure sunglasses.

Description

A helmet that feels like it isn't there: the all-new Aries Spherical is like nothing before. Its sleeker form and lighter weight (only 270 grams in size medium, CE certification), deliver sensational comfort and cooling power. Spherical Technology, Giro's ball-and-socket design powered by Mips, adds protection by redirecting energy away from the head in certain impacts, and Progressive Layering with dual densities of Nanobead EPS foam adds more comprehensive energy management. 24 Wind Tunnel vents are maximized by the AURA II Reinforcement Arch, while a plush DryCore brow pad manages sweat and combines with a network of intricately engineered deep internal channeling to elevate comfort. From the proven reliability and adjustability of the Roc Loc 5+ Air fit system, to full lower hardbody coverage to enhance durability, to the meticulous production quality, the Aries is state-of-the-art performance, protection, and style.

  • Giro Helmets are always Reliable and High Quality
I finally retired my fancy Giro helmet that I purchased 22 years ago. That helmet was expensive 22 years ago but I never regretted my choice. It was well used (lots of rides) and held up well. So when I was looking for another helmet, I no doubt turned to Giro again. I wore my new helmet on a ride other day. It's a very nice quality helmet. I know it's a little expensive but if it lasts 20 years like my last Giro helmet...it's a no-brainer. ... show more

  • Pricey, but worth the price!!!!
Color: Matte Metallic Coal/Space Green Size: Large
Lightweight and comfortable. It is rated the #1 rated helmet for crashes by the Virginia Tech Helmet Ratings. It is pricey, but look what it is protecting. I think it is worth the price.

  • What an upgrade
Color: Matte Metallic Coal/Space Green Size: Medium
I have gone through a few helmets and have always veered to the middle of the road helmets. I had no idea what I was missing. This helmet is true to size and extremely comfortable. Sunglasses aren't as easy to stow, I'm sure with time it will become second nature. This was a very expensive purchase but after my last crash and the damage that helmet took, I never want to worry about skimping out at the cost of my noggin. VA Tech scores road helmets and this helmet was #1. I have a sena attached to the straps that I don't notice at all. If you don't mind spending a bit more, I strongly recommend this helmet. ... show more

  • Light, secure but not as comfortable as expected
Color: Matte Metallic Coal/Space Green Size: Large
I like it a lot. It feels light and secure, and the forehead's system to prevent sweat from falling into the eyes has been very effective. However, the adjustment system in the rear part of the head needs improvement. I find it uncomfortable. It's hard with the head and gets stuck in the hair and when raising the head to look forward, it rubs the head. I bought it because of its security benefits (which I've read are undisputable so far), but given the price, I think I have to be critical in every aspect. ... show more

  • Best helmet ever owned
I have over the years purchased many helmets. Granted the price of my previous helmets never reached this level, in the past I just made sure that they passed safety standards for a cycling helmet. I ultimately selected this helmet after reviewing the safety test conducted by Virginia Tech Helmet Lab. What I like about this helmet: (1) Fit is perfect, (2) Chin strap is cut to an appropriate length, (3) Weight - not noticeable even after extended ride, (4) Ventilation - amazing the airflow that passes through. I would recommend this helmet to anyone looking for either their first purchase or those looking to upgrade. ... show more

I don’t skimp on helmets. What’s your head worth? It’s light, cool, great MIPS technology. Color scheme is nice. Very nice!
