The Gildan brand name has an excellent reputation for offering the customer good value for the price and in this case also a pretty good fit. The shirt is 100% polyester with no spandex, nylon or elastane so it can be easily tossed in the dryer and comes out practically wrinkle free. These shirts also show quality stitching around the collar including the seams underarm. (SEE PIC) The collar laid comfortably flat around the neck. I had no issues with it appearing oversized like some reviewers stated when they first tried it on or after it was washed. I guess you can say it's true to size. However. I upgraded just one size out of concern it might fit too snug against my abdomen. I think in my case it was probably a wise choice. I live in Florida so the benefit of moisture wicking is an absolute must. These shirts help keep me drier on the outside which is something I really appreciated. Once you take the shirt off it also dries much faster in comparison to a typical cotton/polyester shirt. I wore mine for 8 hours which I consider a long time and I had no embarrassing perspiration stains afterwards showing anywhere on the shirt. Granted there's some off-brand shirts out there being sold here at Amazon which are a little cheaper. However, I trust that the Gildan brand will likely hold up much better wash after wash without premature puff balls appearing like you'll often see on the cheaper brand shirts. Nice material, although the xl size was too small. It was very constricting under the armpits, and across the back. usually an xl fits me well, so, I suggest ordering one size larger than normal for you. DO NOT have it delivered via DHL .3 shipments to me have all been lost or delayed via DHL

I need black or tan crew neck T-shirts to wear with my Civil Air Patrol uniform. Due to the climate here in Central Florida, I was looking for lightweight, quick drying, polyester shirts. Of course, I would like them to be affordable and of good quality. These shirts meet most of those requirements, being well-priced and from a name brand. They are true to size as well, fitting like most of my T-shirts that are XL. I ordered a black and Prairie Dust pair. The Prairie Dust looked like a tan on the web, as well as on the printed receipt that came with my package. I know as well as anyone that your expectations of exact color representation through an uncalibrated display chain need to be kept in check, but the actual shirt on my body right now is far from what I expected. It is green. I would call it something between a khaki and a olive drab. In fact, I wonder if I were sent the Military Green accidentally. The web image for Military Green looks much what I have. Only I don't want to go through the expense and time of returning such an item that was so low cost to begin with, especially if I just end up with the same thing again. Now, I'm nervous about trying to buy the Prairie Dust again. I will wear my green shirt, but can't with my uniform. And I'm still wanting tan, but finding that really hard to find in a lightweight, quick dry polyester. ... show more
