  • Flawless so far. Son loves it. Amazing platform/upgrade for him. Great MB
Size: ATX Style: M.2 x4|WIFI6E Color: ELITE
Once we got it all set up and working, we have had zero issues. Just works. Very happy teen gamer. Out of box we had a couple WTF moments when it didn't boot up immediately. After the initial panic abated, we realized the on board diagnostic LEDs showed a memory issue. We removed and re-seated the DIMMs and the issue was fixed. It did take a min to run thru the diag LEDs and then it paused about 30 secs but posted. (memory training I believe). I suspect if we had seated the memory all the way the first time around we would have had no issue. Son has been gaming non-stop without a single gaming glitch since install. He is in love with this board. (Using AMD7800X3D and 7900XT). I think it is overpriced, but Santa took the bullet. ... show more

  • Got Burned...9 months dealing with this thing.
Size: ATX Style: M.2 x4|WIFI6E Color: ELITE
Bought this Aug 2024 - been nothing but a headache. It says it can handle 192GB RAM - it really can't. I had to take out half of my RAM; still the motherboard would randomly reboot for no reason - took me on a wild goose chase. Since the random reboot left no discernable log of WHY it rebooted, it looked like a PSU issue. I replaced the PSU, same rebooting. It kind of looked like a CPU overheating issue, so I thought maybe the thermal paste had dried and it was overheating. Replaced the paste. Still rebooted randomly. Got a larger cooling unit/heatsink; temps now 15-20 cooler, still rebooted. RAM would likely give you a BSOD, and ran RAM tests which looked fine. I went through various driver suspicions and disabling, but still rebooted, so the last man standing was the one I hoped it wasn't. It's this crappy motherboard. Replaced it, and no issues. I knew I shouldn't have gone with Gigabyte -- I usually go with Asus but I believe they were out of stock of the board I wanted, and I got inpatient, and I paid a serious price. ... show more

  • Ease of Use, Slick Design, Quality
Size: ATX Style: M.2 x4|WIFI6E Color: ELITE
This board has been amazing , the bios menu is has been easy to navigate through for overclocking&undervolting my 7900x. It also looks really slick & with great m.2 heat sinks. I updated bios to the newest vs. just for the heck of it using Qflash, very simple process would 100% buy another elite gigabyte board after this purchase. ... show more

  • Reliable Core With a Few Worn Ports
Size: ATX Style: M.2 x4|WIFI6E Color: ELITE
I’ve been using the GIGABYTE X670 AORUS Elite AX for years, and overall it’s been a really solid foundation for my build. It’s handled everything I’ve thrown at it without issues, and installation was straightforward thanks to clear instructions, which made the whole setup process stress-free. The BIOS is one of my favorite parts. It’s clean, easy to navigate, and still packed with useful features that make tuning and adjustments simple even if you’re not deep into overclocking. The only downside I’ve run into over time is that a few USB ports have become a bit finicky. They still work, but sometimes they cut in and out depending on what’s plugged in. Even with that, it’s served me well enough that if I had to replace it, I’d seriously consider buying the same board again and just hoping for slightly better long-term port reliability. ... show more

  • Extremely well balanced motherboard for the features and price. No issues.
Size: ATX Style: M.2 x4|WIFI6E Color: ELITE
Very nice motherboard. One downside is Gigabyte has decided to not include a printed manual. Really Gigabyte? This not a bargain basement motherboard. Anyway, that aside, it is a remarkably high quality mobo and I had no issues flashing the BIOS or using it with a Ryzen7 7700X out of the box. Thick and durable PCB. Nice design. Covered in a large number of high speed USB ports which is a huge bonus that other mobo makers seem to not put much emphasis on. The on-board audio and Ethernet LAN are being used and there are zero issues with either. Great quality all around, I would use this mobo again. It is the perfect balance for price and features and has extremely good reviews on review websites and YT. ... show more

  • Great Bang for the Buck x 3 Great Bang for the Buck x 3
Size: ATX Style: M.2 x4|WIFI6E Color: ELITE
Purchased 1 in April and recently purchased 2 more X670 Aorus Elite AX boards. Original has a Ryzen 9 7900 CPU and the new additions have Ryzen 7 7700's. Using PBO and tweaking BIOS settings, the 7700's will now benchmark the same as the 7900 did out of the box. CPU-Z consistently benchmarks them at 8350-8400 with PBO. The 7900 with PBO and tweaking gets to 12,600-12650 with CPU-Z. Steady voltage regulation under heavy load monitored with HWInfo64. (4) NVMe slots that will allow NVMe RAID in the BIOS. Able to array as RAID 0, 1 and 10. MB rear panel has a 20Gb Type C connector; also has a motherboard connector for a case mounted USB Type C connection (10Gb). Using G.Skill F6000J3238F16GX2-FX5 and run at EXPO settings in all 3. The 7900 has (4) sticks and is now bumped to 6400 with with no errors from Memtest. Stable @1.38V w/32-36-36-96 timings. The 7900 is used for 3D modeling and rendering. Outperforms the AMD 1950X 16 core Threadripper (OC'd to 4GHz) it replaced. About 20% quicker with only 12 cores and draws less power. One 7700 used as a backup server. Nitpick: The CMOS battery is located under the X670 chipset heatsink. The machine screws holding the heatsink to the motherboard are located UNDERNEATH the component side of the board. To replace the CMOS battery, the motherboard would have to be removed from the case in order to access the screws. Apparently designed for esthetics rather than function. The MB however, does have a CMOS reset switch (shown in attached pic). All 3 of these setups are keepers!!! ... show more
