I bought the Rustic Wooden Wishing Well Planter to add a whimsical touch to our backyard, and I like it so far . The wood has a lovely natural finish that fits perfectly with the rest of our outdoor décor. Assembly was straightforward—it took about 30 minutes, and all the parts were clearly labeled. The reinforced rod adds nice stability, especially during windy days. The hanging bucket is a cute feature, and we ended up putting some trailing flowers in it, which gives it that fairy-tale look. The planter base is roomy enough for a variety of flowers or even herbs. The roof provides a little shade, which helps keep the plants from drying out too quickly. What I especially appreciate is how solid the construction feels. It’s not flimsy or cheaply made like some other decorative garden items I’ve bought before. We’ve had a few rainstorms since setting it up, and it’s held up really well.

Love that it came partly assembled and I didn’t have to screw each piece of wood together, just put the big pieces together. The wood smells so GOOD! Easy to assemble and looks gosh darn adorable! It adds some charm to my yard. Not overly heavy but sturdy enough. Put a mini rose in the bucket and will put some violas and snapdragons underneath. Quaint and adds that “je ne sais quoi.” Very happy with this purchase!

Very cute--just what I was looking for! A couple of minor comments: Not all holes are pre-drilled; a splinter here and there; it would be sturdier had the side supports been one piece and secured to the base with allen bolts.

Was pretty easy to get together, only had to fiddle with it a little bit. It's not sealed at all, and while building it I ended up with stain all over my hands! It was damaged when I got it but the box did not. It's very light weight and I am concerned that it might tip over in a big windstorm. The bucket string is too long, and it doesn't turn. It's okay for the amount that I spent on it, just a few things I didn't particularly care for.

K ordered this as another garden accessory, to sit over a potted plant. The bottom of the 'well' is open. I suspect that the 'hanging bucket' that hangs in the 'wishing well' may get some adjustment up, depending on how tall the plant in the base grows. Assembled per the directions, the bottom of the bucket is below the level of the base by a few inches. There's some room to adjust that up with the rope, or maybe the bucket itself is where she'll end up placing her plants for display. No problem either way. The wood has a dark wiped-on stain that highlights the grain. The actual construction is pretty typical to similar products, with brads and staples holding most pieces together. The only apparent screws in the product are the ones you will use during the assembly process for the top sections like the supports, the crossbar for the rope, and the top piece. K is happy with it so far, so we'll call this a success.

Screws are ysed when bolts and nuts are needed. Most screws are not long enough and pull out. If it was 75% off I'd consider recommending it to my mother-in-law. Not remotely worth the price.
