Be delicate separating the case. Don’t waste your time. Good case but absolutely no warranty support, which is highly inconvenient because the case never lasts longer than a year. Ghostek claims lifetime warranty. You can’t get a hold of the company, they won’t respond to emails, they delete your comments on their social media page, and their voicemail box is full.     • BEST CASE I’VE EVER HAD
I had this same case for my older phone for 4 yrs. Dropped it multiple times, including in the toilet; don’t ask. Also dropped it out my car window as we were leaving one day! Not a dent on my phone and it was in perfect condition when I traded it in for my iPhone 16 Pro! It fits awesome. No need for glass screen protector and if you are seriously accident prone like I am I suggest this case. Not bulky, waterproof, and protects the phone from bumps, falls and dunkin in a lake! Hehe.     • Screen protector makes an air bubble gap
For all intents and purposes, this case is good, but there's a few small issues I've had with it ever since putting it on. For one, the screen protector does not lay perfectly flat over the screen, which leads to an air pocket over the screen that cannot be permanently deflated. It leads to needing to push a little harder with each tap to make it register. Secondly, the charger cover is the same kind of cover as the nautical slim, which likely means that repeated use will make it deteriorate, especially since it's difficult to pull out. Lastly, more of a personal issue rather than a design flaw, the back of the case also doesn't fit snug against the phone, letting the decal in the back of my phone slide around without securing it with a piece of tape or something. Overall, the quality feels good; it's bulky enough to feel protective but not too bulky to be obstructive, and it will certainly protect the phone from most angles, it's just a little irritating here and there. ... show more

So far so good. I bought this case for my I Phone 16 pro max. The only case I bought for my iPhones is the life proof fre’ case but it’s not available. This was the next closest option and at a much cheaper price. So far I’m very satisfied. It seems to be just as durable and I do not have any issues with sound quality, as they did have with their earlier cases. That seems to have been taken care of. Also bought the same case for my son‘s iPhone 16 max, he has not had any issues either. I would definitely recommend and buy this case again. ... show more

Impressed. I have had the life proof brand, including the fre for waterproof for years. Recently those have turned to pure junk. I guess I presume if I'm spending a ton of money I'm getting quality, but not so anymore. I read some online reviews and this one got good comments so I decided to order it. I need a waterproof case when I go on vacation, otherwise I use a more standard type case that doesn't cover the whole phone. Comparing those two this is a winner hands down. The screen works incredibly easily, a little more firm touch than without the case but I also have a glass screen protector on my phone so I'm sure that's adding resistance. I don't think it will be a problem at all, just need to get used to the difference. The other one has become a huge miss on photos, they are all blurry. I took a few this morning around home and they are good. I will say, the case I got has a few strange bubbles or something on one of the camera lens covers. I tried to clean it off with no success. It has the appearance of when you get grease splatter, that fine mist. I'm ordering another one to see if I get one without because those camera lenses are sensitive and I don't want blur or distortion as a result. If not I'll still keep one of them I think. The case was a little tricky to open at first, really because I'm used to that other brand. I use a coin to get it started and the other brand is a little more firm and just pops open. This one is rubbery and flexible and you have to work it a bit. Not a problem and I suspect it will protect the phone better, it seems to seal up well. I didn't do the water test yet, but I don't anticipate an issue. You can barely see the seam. The last one I had from the other brand I exchanged it 4 times and it leaked every time and the reviews indicated that's a common problem. Comparing the price of the two brands this one is more economical and I would recommend it over the other. I like the case and would even consider it as a daily full time case if it came in colors. It seems to be good protection without significant bulk. All I see is black though and I like color so I can spot my phone when I lay it down. For now I plan to use this on a beach vacation for water protection, but I would really recommend it. I took off a star for the odd bubbles. ... show more

Screen protector on the first case seems to be pinched or warped slightly. Returning the item through Amazon was not possible, but I went to the Ghostek website and they quickly shipped me a new one. Good support and very nice case.

    • Defective Products, Costly Returns, and Zero Accountability
⭐ 1/5 I would not buy from this company again. The case was defective, and instead of simply returning it through Amazon, I followed the company’s return process. That turned out to be a mistake. If I had handled the return through Amazon, my return shipping would have been covered. Instead, I paid to ship their defective product back to them. To make matters worse, this wasn’t an isolated issue—two cases failed in the exact same way. They received the returned case, and getting the refund handled has been another unnecessary hassle. On top of receiving defective products, I’m now out the return shipping cost because I followed the manufacturer’s instructions rather than just using Amazon’s return system. A company’s customer service matters most when something goes wrong. In my experience, this company failed that test. My recommendation: if you decide to buy one anyway, purchase through Amazon and handle any return directly through Amazon. I would not rely on the manufacturer to make a defective-product return painless. ... show more
