Have had this case on for approximately one month and I just had my first major drop (table height on to tile 😬) and my phone was totally fine. That's the ultimate test right there. I like the looks, I wish I had thought to match my camera protectors to it (they are out there). I like the clear window so you can still see phone color/possibly add your own sticker or cut out for extra flair. I switched to this case because my previous one was too slippery, and I was a little worried about this one on that front but it's mostly great. I'm sure there are even gripper cases (softer edges with texture type) out there, but the texture and different heights on this one are more than sufficient for 'normal' grip. Obviously it is protective enough (see first paragraph) but I'd call it upper average. Only having the raised bevels on the ends is always a trade off. I also expected the grey portions of the case to be softer for more shock absorption (similar to a speck or otterbox case) but I kind of like that they're not. Makes the case easier to put on and that soft stuff tends to be the first part of the case to wear. Also not a dust magnet. I'll admit that I was a little worried about the protection factor when I picked it out, but it seems to have done quite well. Edit: Here I am... gosh I don't even know. Checking back, over a year later and I LOVE THIS CASE. It has held up so beautifully (the metal coloring is just beginning to wear on the corners) and best of all PROTECTED THE HECK out of my phone. I've had more drops. Worse ones. Literally the other night I dropped it from standing height onto concrete and it went beneath my car. I didn't even want to look at it because I just absolutely knew it was cracked. It was too nasty. My husband took pity on me and checked it for me. Phone is flawless, case is pretty darn flawless still too (I am using a screen protector and camera protectors in addition, for obvious reasons, just for the record). The plastic corners get a little scuffed but it's like the scuffy bits come off naturally? Idk, I notice the scuffs kind of disappear, especially visually. And the metal has some small areas of wear (the corners) but no dents or really any marring. The back plastic piece is moderately scratched up but it isn't very visible in use. I have to catch it in the light to see them. And honestly, 100% rather there than on my phone. I have several stickers under the plastic and they are still clear/readable/no yellowing/etc. From the front it looks brand new still. I am extremely impressed with the drop performance. It is fairly equal in protecting my phone to my old favorite Speck case, but honestly this case protects itself/holds up much better. It's a beast. Do it, you won't regret it. ... show more

After going through a number of plastic two-piece cases and breaking them all at the thinnest point near the volume rocker switch it was time for a change. I saw the Ghostek case for my Samsung S21 and noted the outer portion of the unit was metal. Now that's a change. The inner case is a soft material that fits snugly to the phone and the metal outer portion fits snugly over the soft. It's been going on nine months and it looks like it just came out of the shipping pouch and no outer case failure. This thing is like a vault for your phone. It's till thin and sleak, easy to fit in my back pocket and it has protected the phone from numerous drops. I bought this phone case because I wanted to try something new that had a colour that suited me best and would actually show off the beauty of the phone underneath. I was worried that this would break but after dropping it several times even on asphalt the case has stayed intact with only a slight dint in it. I used to swear by OtterBox but I noticed the rubber they use for the outside of the case would stretch out over a month. They also didn't have many colour options. Unicorn Beetle was good until they made cases meant for phones with pens and it seemed like the hard part would crack if dropped right on the pen's edge. This case is right in the middle for heavy duty drop protection, style and ease of use. My only gripes would be: -The volume buttons can be hard to press if you're using one hand to turn the volume up, take a picture or screenshot. You have to be precise with how you place your fingers and press down but it's not to the point of strain. -The side grips are great but I definetly recommend adding a popsocket or metal ring to the back for added security when holding your phone as the back is sorta slippery without it. Also, the back smudges easily but I expect that from plastic. (Some people don't.) Overall, great buy, worth the cost! ... show more

Best case I've ever had. 20 months after purchase (received in JUNE of 2024 and it's now FEBRUARY of 2026) the case (prismatic color) has definite scratches along the back corners because I'm outdoorsy and not gentle with my phone. However, I've had to replace my screen protector thrice now and every time I remove the case and clean off my phone, my Samsung truly looks no different than the day I got it. It's magical.
