  • My son loves the game
My son loves this game. He is a huge ghost busters fan. So if you have a kiddo who loves ghost busters, this game will not disappoint

  • No clear story or character development.
I like to game off-line, for the most part, I never put my consoles online to game socially, I have people over to play multiplayer games in person when I want multi-player, and this game doesn't support local multiplayer. This game is clearly designed just to amuse online multiplayer gamers who want a little social ghost busting with flashy character and equipment mods that you can't even see on yourself anyway. While the graphics are great with lots of nostalgia and familiar sights around the firehouse, there is no story and nothing to draw you into the game-play. After an hour of aimless wandering and two totally random "jobs" picked from the desk, which I completed but couldn't tell if I won or lost or gained anything.. I still had no clue what my objective was, if anything. I had no idea if my character had gained any stats or experience at all, or what the point of playing was.. and this lack of any direction or story was making it feel really repetitive and dull. Even doing the "jobs' themselves lacked any story or point, just more wandering around, either haunting things at random and trying not to get shot at, or shooting random things all over the map in the vague hope one of them was haunted and you could take a shot at the ghost which would then just slime you and escape in seconds anyway. I'll play it a little more, see if I am missing anything - maybe the total lack of any introduction, training or instructions means I just didn't manage to randomly stumble across something containing story, objectives, or character stats in my first hour. But my first impression so far is that this is just a flashy, ghost buster themed social "Rec Room". ... show more

  • don't buy
graphics are good but play is poor. Nothing like the first one, not very much fun to play.

  • Meh.
Was expecting a bit more but mostly you go to a location, there's a ghost to catch. You have to find and close 3 rifts before you can close the rift, and then you have about a minute and a half to catch the ghost haunting the place. Oh yeah, and there are random people you're supposed to interact with and keep calm so they don't leave. The main problem is that your PKE meter kinda stinks and by the time you get to a ghost it disappears around the corner and there's virtually nothing to guide you to the rifts. Most of the time the AI players close the rifts before I can even find them. I think if you're playing with a squad of online friends and you can coordinate a bit better the game might be fun. But largely it left me feeling hollow and empty. If you want a good ghostbusters game, play the 2009 one. Even the game the ties loosely to the 2016 movie plays better than this. ... show more

  • Waste of time if you don't play online.
I had high hopes for this one. I was a fan of the original game. Unfortunately, I had the same problem with this I had with Friday the 13th and Evil Dead. Unless you play it online, there's no point. Sure, you can access skirmish mode, but you can't even access the tutorial to figure out how the equipment works, so its a big case of trial and error. And since you can't use campaign mode offline, it just isnt worth the trouble. The characters mouths don't even move when they're talking. This was very disappointing for someone who doesn't play online. After my experience with the previous two games I mentioned, I made sure that it could be played as a single player, but while you can use skirmish mode, the campaign itself is completely off limits. Save your money if you don't play online. ... show more

  • Boring and repetitive
Incredibly boring. 4/10 and that's only because I'm obsessed with the movies.
