    • If you're looking for a better release than the season 1 set, I've got bad news...
The media could not be loaded. I love Ghost In The Shell. Stand Alone Complex is one of the best sci-fi TV shows ever, and the Blu-ray that Anchor Bay/Manga USA has put out is a barely watchable release. All the extras are missing from the DVD release, and none of the episodes have chapter breaks. Those, I can get past and get along without. As long as I can watch a high quality presentation of the show, I can be happy with some stuff missing. However, the bare minimum of watching the show isn't possible on this release. Wait... I said all this on the season 1 review... That's because it's basically has all the same issues. On the Japanese side, the subtitles are actually a close captioning track for the English audio, not a translation. And look, the dub script happens to be extremely faithful and well-written but it is not a translation. It doesn't translate the music, the signs, and if anyone on the English dub is speaking off-screen, but they aren't speaking in the Japanese version, there's a random line onscreen when it's actually silent. On the English dub side: For some reason the English audio randomly cuts into the Japanese audio at random points in random episodes. I've even posted some examples on my Twitter feed showing this very error (and I'm including a video example on this review) and being very specific where they happened. Anchor Bay's response was to block me on Twitter. This is a release that many people were waiting for years, and even the bare minimum of effort wasn't put into this release. And rather than fix it, the response from the distributor so far was to ignore me. I would highly recommend reaching out to Anchor Bay and telling them about the issues about this release.     • Don't listen to the bad reviews. It's actually great
There's a lot a bad reviews about this blu ray release. I took the chance and got it anyway. Reviews were saying that it has a audio problem, like I randomly changes from english to japanese. I just finished the entire thing. First off it's absolutely beautiful in pictures quality. Second yes I did switch from english to japanese.. on one word. There's a scene in the first episode where they count down and say go before rushing into the building. It was at thus spot where instead of go it was the japanese world for go. That's it. That's what all these bad reviews where complaining about. Wow really? I would say get this blu ray collection. It's a great story and looks amazing on blu ray. If your a ghost in the shell fan this is absolutely a must watch. Love it. Totally worth getting and watching. ... show more

The product arrived in perfect condition. Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex Second Gig is the second season of Ghost In The Shell Stand Alone Complex. It follows the same team as the first season 6 years after the 4th world war trying to stop a new terrorist group known as the Individual Eleven. It has the same setting and characters as the movie, but you don't need to watch it in order to understand. I do however recommend watching the first season. This is the continuation of the sci-fi, action, crime drama masterpiece and I highly recommend for fans of any of those topics or a fan of anime in general. This is the complete second season, all 26 episodes, on 4 Blu-Ray discs. The mailing process was great and the show is an amazing watch. ... show more

It was great for the price. I wish the menu was a little different because it is super loud and the movie play it self is really quiet so when it goes back to the main menu it rattles you a little bit.

    • A must have for anime fans!
If you enjoy anime, give this and the first season Ghost In The Shell S.A.C a shot! It's an extremely well done mystery thriller following The Major, her team, and Section 9 as they deal with yet another Stand Alone Complex Case. Disks were in new condition, however there was minor damage to the case but nothing to ruin the discs (small piece came off on the corner, could have been accidentally damaged during shipment, no real concern). ... show more

Arrived in what looks like a grocery store paper bag. There is some warped plastic on the front of the case nothing too crazy. Arrived on time no damage from delivery just very disappointed in the packaging. Great show great animation

Finally available on Blu-ray. I know others have complained about the transfer audio not being that great but honestly when you’ve waiting as long as I have to watch this it’s easy to over see the small errors and just enjoy the show!

This is the best version of 2nd GIG I have seen!! The English dub is not to bad, but the video is a great improvement!
