I am very happy with these chairs. I just put them together and had zero problems with the hardware or instructions. After reading complaints, I was expecting to go to hardware store for parts and thought they wouldn’t fold up to move. Wrong on both, put together in my house (90+ degrees outside), folded and carried to the deck. Yes, the wrench provided would have added another hour on assembly, but using my socket wrench and low torque driver made this a breeze! I will offer one tip on assembly, the very first step of attaching a back bar, use the diagram’s picture of screwing the three middle screws first! This helps line up the pre drilled holes (slightly bends the pieces to the arch needed). First chair, I went with the two outside screws, tough to line up. The second chair, I followed the diagram, much easier! They are sturdy, attractive and functional (fold easily for carrying, surprisingly light to carry. So, I can tell you you should not hesitate to buy these chairs.

We ordered two of these and they were a very good price for poly wood! They are vibrant and beautiful. They came with the tools to assemble. It took about 30 minutes and two of us to assemble each due to some awkward poses needed to hold a bolt on one side and use the allen wrench on the other, but maybe if we practiced yoga more it would have been easier! Overall pleased with our purchase. They're quite comfortable.

Wonderful chair. Sturdy. Weatherproof. Solid. Baffled by the reviewers here who say it’s hard to assemble. Read the directions carefully and just don’t rush and you got it. Also don’t tighten everything until fully assembled. Easy peasy. You won’t regret this buy!

I purchased 4 of these chairs and think they’re a great value. They’re a little thinner and lighter than the more expensive brand we’ve purchased other sets from, but they feel sturdy enough and the gray color matches the gray from the other brand. Assembly is kind of a pain - lots of lining up holes and bolts to tighten, but the speed picked up after the first one...probably no trouble if done with 2 people. I worry the chain/pin that is used to collapse the chair might not hold up when exposed to weather, but so far we’re pleased with our chairs and would buy them again.

Friends purchased the LL bean version of these chairs for $300 apiece. It's been 6 months, and I can't tell a difference when comparing the two. It's heavy-duty and I feel confident leaving it outside in the elements. I took off the chain, as it looked tacky IMO.

I should have paid more attention to the negative reviews. They were all right... 😩. The tools provided are completely useless, I don't know why they even bothered. Do manufacturers ever actually try to put their stuff together with the crap tools they send? Anyway, the bigger problems are a) Instructions are horrible b) holes didn't line up and c) bolts are crap. The nuts stop spinning halfway thru on several of them, and then you try to continue screwing them in and something breaks. Then you're heading to the hardware store searching for half an hour trying to find a replacement bolt/nut. Like another reviewer said, these are foldable. So why don't they just come assembled and ship them folded up??? Cheesy. I'll eventually get them all assembled but I wish I never would've purchased these chairs. Too big to send back. The manufacturer should either provide better quality bolts or ship several extras so that when they break you can just use another one. But the real issue here is poor quality control. They need to select a few each week from the production line and try to put them together themselves, by hand. Then they'd see the problems. And again - WHY NOT JUST SHIP THEM ASSEMBLED?!

Chairs are made of very heavy duty HDPE resin and should last in the So Fla weather here by the beach. Directions and package was perfect. Color was as expected. My issue is the hardware is complete garbage. Had to go to local hardware store and buy all SS bolts and nuts as the supplies were stripping and just plain junk. Spent $44 for two chairs for good stuff. The chair doesn’t fold as it sais but not a concern because these are entirely too heavy to fold and carry. They seem a bit flexible so we’ll see how they hold up. The hardware supplied would have never held up. They look great installed and on my front porch. Only time will tell.
