I bought one of these air purifiers in 2020. Before that I got two from the same company a long time ago so when I bought this one I was pleased. The ones I got years ago needed to be replaced. So now this is my second one of this model. I am well pleased and hope that these will last several years. They are quieter and more attractive than the older ones. I have COPD and they help a lot. I had some visitors that remarked how much better the air quality is now. These were slightly more expensive, but worth it. UPDATE: I came back because I wanted to see if I could find the manual. So I read some of the questions and reviews. Here is the thing, as much as these work for cleaning the air, they are "divas". I learned the hard way that changing the filter or the bulb, the purifier makes it confusing because if the filter or the bulb is exactly right it won't turn on, and it is EXTREMELY important to hit the reset button. I grew frustrated so I hope this helps those that are having problems. The filter has an arrow telling the right way to put it in, even then it sometime doesn't sit right. Try pushing the filter to make sure the back is fitting securely. The bulb that shows up as a blue UV light is to help get rid of germs. That flashes and if you take it out you can tell because it will be black. ... show more

Nice sized floor standing unit. We use it as a white noise generator in our bedroom at night. Our locations is desert and it is very quiet at night, except when it isn’t…. Coyotes with a kill, owls encountering mice, toads calling out for a date, and the odd car which needs its muffler replaced. Anyhow, this sits in the corner of the bedroom and generates a constant hum that drowns out the background noise very well. We actually run it at the second speed as the lowest speed is too quiet to be effective. It has an ultraviolet light feature but we don’t use it because the feature turns on a bright blue light on the exterior of the front panel as well, which is distractingly bright. Yes, it filters the air of dust, as evident when we periodically clean the filters although my allergies aren’t particularly improved by having it on. ... show more

I bought two in black, one for each occupied bedroom. They both work wonderfully well. The back pops off so you can see how much fluff and dust they pull from the air. I run my hand vac over the filter every week or two. Even with four dogs, it was months before I had to replace the filters. Everything about these machines is easy. I like that. As for the noise, they are both quiet on Low. We run them on Medium because the sound drowns out night noises and helps us sleep. We rarely run them on the highest setting unless the room really needs to be refreshed. High is pretty loud. I would definitely buy them again. ... show more

Thsi is a nice quiet air filter that is thin, not too tall, and doesn't take up much space in the room. I have had it on Moderate (there are 3 settings) constantly in my home and it has lasted 6 months before the "change filter" light came on. I have a small dog who sheds a lot and I got feedback from family that my place was smelling like dog after a few months of having her. I got this filter and placed it in our living room where the dog spends the most time. Since having it, nobody has made any more commentd about the dog smell. The low setting is silent. But moves little air. The medium setting does produce a slight air rushing noise. But it is so uniform you quickly dismiss it. I have an allergy to something outdoors.
