Got this set up fairly quickly. There's some shaking in flight which isn't ideal. Feels a little fluttery.. To set up ELRS itneeded to have the packet rate changed in the radio's ExpressLRS lua to match the receiver (150 2.4). Took me a full day to figure that one part out. All in a decent rig.

Best 5" in 2025 for sure. You need this drone. I bought the Elrs GPS version. Snappy with 6s 100c lipo or better. Have not "sent it " with less than a 100c and probably won't.

Fantastic quad, a bit heavy but handles a larger battery than most 5 inch rigs. My only complaint isnt really a complaint. Not a fan of the gps being on the back by all the other antennas (video and RC) so i printed a gopro gps attachment and have noticed faster signal lock and a few more satellites. This purchase prompted me to buy 2 more geprc quads and i love them all, well made products ... show more

Next day delivery. Couldn’t find this in stock from my usual online store. Surprised to find this on Amazon. Bound & set up with my Radiomaster elrs pocket & beta flight in 10 minutes. First flight was a success & GPS Rescue worked as like its supposed to. 👍👍👍

I fly this deal twice a day, hands down my favorite drone to fly. It flys more predictable, stable and faster than anything I’ve ever been around. Coming from a ~1500$ msrp avata 2 combo was like hopping out of a Honda civic and into a lambo. Everything from the avata 2 (fpv controller 2/3 and googles 2/3/n3/integra) works with the vapor d5. (And other 04 air unit drones). Prior to the avata, I spent ~30 min in uncrashed flight simulator and a few weeks with a tiny whoop. From my initial take off on the Vapor, I was instantly right at home and more comfortable in it vs anything else. The tiny whoops help prepare me the most for the Vapor I originally bought it ERLS, but switched it to SBUS to use the DJI remote. It drastically increased the range for me personally. Could’ve been the quality of my erls remote and or antenna setup. I just wanted it like my Avata, range wise, and it’s exactly that now. I currently have lipo 1300mah packs for it, they last 8 min driving it easy, 5 min driving it normal and enjoying it or 3min driving it like you stole it. I plan to get larger 1800-2200 lipos and 4000 lions for it. Guys get around 15-20min with some of these larger packs Be prepared for how fast it can go, one blip wide open is 105mph at a snap of your fingers rate, in whatever direction it’s aimed. A few sec wot strait up, takes it 1000+ft and you’ll see the earth is indeed a rounded globe. 3rd picture shows telemetry of me hanging a corner at 102mph on day #2 of owning it 😂 I crashed it twice on ice, once landing it, other accidentally hitting the failsafe switch while it was landed (once tested you switch that toggle from failsafe to gps rescue to avoid this). It did nothing to it either time. Almost lost control once, banked a corner with too much angle, got disoriented and hit angle mode to reorient and save it. Worked perfectly. I also use the gps rescue switch to save it in an even more effective way. The gps rescue, once setup, is one of the coolest things I’ve ever seen in rc (turtle mode is up there too). Basically if you lose reception, it’ll flatten it out, burst wide open strait up x amount, turn towards you and beeline ~50mph towards its home point, you can let it continue and auto land or, take over the controls at any time. It’s genius because if you lose reception, you gain it right back as soon as it does it’s wot elevation burst. So you can pretty much drive it around without having to worry so much about signal strength. When I lose reception with my dji drones, itll prob come back home on its own but I don’t normally gain back video or control. You do with this one, it just fuzzes up the video and comes back (you also know it’s coming due to the mbps level lowering). I feel way safer exploring due to this. I like this thing so much, I ordered a GEPRC mark 5 to go with it and started building a SpeedyBee master5v2. I only fly my mini 3 now to scout out new areas for the Vapor, and avata 2 when I’m all out of battery packs for the Vapor. I hope this helps someone, it’s a top notch bind and fly, that is built better than what most can build themselves.
