  • Excellent for Teaching the Great Missionaries to Children!!!!
Format: Hardcover
This series is excellent for teaching about the great Christian missionaries to the children under 10 years old. My son is 8 and is still very interested in this series. Each page has a more challenging text that the parent can read and a simple text that new readers can read. I own 5 in the series and they are all equally wonderful. ... show more

  • Great for little ones - kindergarden to first grade
Format: Hardcover
These three books are very sweet and written to the point (I purchased the three pack that included Amy Carmichael and Hudson Taylor too)- it notes for kids older, around 3rd grade, but I found that they were too easy for my third grader and though he liked the stories, they were too easy to read - however, my first grader loves them! I'd say they are better for kindergarden to first grade. ... show more

  • Great example of a foreign missionary
Format: Hardcover
I read this to my preschool class. We were studying missions and what it means to be a missionary. This book fulfilled my purpose very well.

  • Ehhh...
Format: Hardcover
I wasn't a big fan of this book. It is very, very "kiddish." The illustrations are pretty cartoonish and the sentences are pretty short. It seemed "cheesy" to me...and this story is not cheesy! I plan to look around for another book that tells about George Mueller, but if I can't find one I like, I'd rather wait until my kids are older and have them read a biography about him intended for older kids or for adults. I want the amazing things that God did in his life to be impactful for my kids, and I don't think this book accomplishes that. ... show more

  • Not many like this
Format: Hardcover
I just got this in the mail and it is great! The length of the book and the sentence structure is perfect for preschoolers and early elementary. This story tells of Muller's life- from his stormy childhood to his salvation experience and onto working in orphanages and losing one of their own children. This story draws out the theme of trust in God for everything. The illustrations are colorful and the book is hardbound and quality. My two kids (4 and 3) really enjoyed reading it! Thanks to the publisher for sending me a copy in exchange for an honest review. ... show more
