I love this product. I was really hesitant about buying this when I seen the reviews. I always look at the 1 star first. But I bought it and am very happy with it. It was delivered in perfect condition, which in my opinion should never take a negative review, because that really has nothing to do with the product itself. I have 5 children and use this all time. It works without fail, and saves us a ton of money from going out to eat at a well known mexican food franchise, and ours are better. Yes its true that the lid wont close if you over stuff them, and we definitly do. But it dont matter because they still cook up perfect, just dont force the lid closed. And super easy to clean, but I found that its alot easier if you clean it while it is still warm. Just wipe it off. I recommend this to anyone that has some common sense. Simply put, if you over stuff it like I do than dont try to force the lid closed. It just takes a little longer to cook. ... show more

Love this so much. Unfortunately, was only able to use a couple of times. I think there was a short somewhere in the cord or where it connected to the maker itself, probably from packaging and shipping. (The cord was coiled and wrapped with a bread tie, then it was pulled forward under it pretty tight in the package.) Used it a3 or 4 times then, the last couple times I used it, it went off and on a couple times and then just went off altogether. The first time, I followed the cord to where it was plugged in, thinking either it was the gfi on the outlet or the plug had been knocked loose. When I touched the cord though, it came back on. The last time it happened, I touched the cord near where it connected and it came on, went off, came on again. My quesadilla was about done so I just pulled it out and unplugged it. The next time I tried to make one, I plugged it in and got shocked (just a tiny one, like from dragging your feet on carpet) and the quesadilla maker didn't come on at all. I probably should have just sent it back right away, but I didn't really use it often so by the time I realized how bad it was, it was past the return date, so I the it away. Do love it though. George Foreman does it again! I purchased the George Foreman Electric Quesadilla Maker. It is perfect sized, so easy to clean and ever easier to store! Even though its a large, You can still make small or medium sized Quesadillas with it. It heats up fast and I really enjoy the lock feature on the bottom. I recommend this product! I grabbed it because it was so hot outside that cooking was not going to happen and standing outside in front of the grill was not going to happen either. so, IF you have lots of parties or get-togethers, these would make nice appetizers... BUT THE NEGATIVES ARE: 1) Unit is very LARGE and fairly heavyweight, with much of the outer space NOT used in cooking, so I expected much bigger pieces; 2) The handle is LOOSELY FRAGILE. It does NOT SECURE to the base at all. I thought it was defective at first, but maybe there is some reason for it to be so floppy; 3) Clean-up wasn't awful, but there are LOTS and LOTS of crevices to get into; 4) Though the individual pieces are separated by indentations, they are NOT that easy to cut through So, for the size and weight of the unit, I would have reviewed much better IF the pieces were even close to standard quesadilla size. ... show more
