This tool is well made, and comfortable in the hand- something very important in a ceramics tool. The shape keeps it from slipping out of your hands, while not being bulky or awkward. I think it would be a good tool to just have around, too, as it can cut decor or trim with it easily as well, it's not just a one-talent kind of tool.

I make production mugs for shows and I hoped for a nice tool to cut quick handles so I ordered this. The handle is a simple rectangular handle with an angled end. The tool itself is cut sheet metal and I like the simplicity of the construction of the cutting head. Overall it cuts pretty well and doesn't clog much. But...cutting a lot at a time, it gets uncomfortable quickly. I really don't like design it cuts and the feel of the handle whether its rotated inward or outward. Also, clearly its going to take a learning curve to use this type of tool for handles. Some of this obviously is my issue, but after testing it I found that I didn't really want to pick it up and try...

I found this clay tool extremely well-crafted, though it's a little on the small size. It matches another version of this type of tool I recently selected from Amazon. It cuts the clay with a good edge. These clay tools seem to be copycats of DiamondCore tools, and those are extremely pricey clay tools. With this in mind, I recommend GEOCCI tools for their value. This allows a maker to test the tool and decide if a higher quality tool is worth getting, or if a less-expensive version is good enough. I give this item a 5-star recommendation because of this value.

This handle-making tool for mugs works well and makes a nice chunky handle. Personally, I hate pulling handles, so tools like these are life-savers since everyone seems to want mugs over anything else. Definitely recommend.

This is a nice-looking, well-functioning tool for the price. The handle is made out of a stained, polished wood that looks like rosewood, and the cutter seems to be made of steel, and is attached securely to the handle. Used on slightly hardened clay, it cuts a fluted-looking mug handle that is just the right thickness, but also has that little bit of flair that makes it different from a pulled or cut handle. I enjoy having this as a tool in my pottery toolbox.

Works very well for making a decorative handle for any mug or cop out of clay. The price is really good for the quality Wood is sturdy and construction is sturdy as well. Cleans up easily with water. I like this item.
