Oem replacement works perfectly. Had an engine code P0128 show up which indicates the thermostat didn't close when it was suppose to and the engine temp was too cool. Needle usually runs just left of center around 11:00. Coolant temp usually reads between 190 and 200F which is normal. Not sure what happened that one morning. Might have been a fluke. Didn't want to chance it so I just replaced it. Super easy job. Just need a flat blade screwdriver and a 10mm socket. This part fits any 3.6L pentastar engine, 2011 to 2015 I believe. Remove the decorative engine heat shield by just pulling it off by pulling straight up. It just pops off. Loosen the two hose clamps on the air intake one near the air box/filter and the other at the intake manifold. Remove and set aside. I used a small trash can (or bucket) to collect coolant because when you remove the thermostat it's going to leak about a quart or more. Loosen the hose clamp on the radiator hose going to the thermostat and wiggle it loose allowing the coolant to run into your bucket. Use the 10mm socket to remove the two bolts on the thermostat. This is where it really poured out. Don't let it get everywhere. Reassembly is just the reverse. Not sure the torque on the bolts. I just did them snug enough. It's just plastic so you don't want to get crazy. I added about a quarter of new coolant back in and bled the line with the little bleeder valve on top of the thermostat. Just run the engine and Loosen this little cap until it leaks out and you should be set. I did this a couple of times just to make sure all the air was out. Everything has been running great ever since and I haven't seen the code reappear in over a month. Recommend this product for sure. ... show more

  • Easy to Install
Normal no one in South Texas cares that the Thermostat on your Jeep Wrangler is stuck open in South Texas. Going to be 98F today April 9th in San Antonio. Mid February hit a low of 7F. Driving was as cold as in Germany 1963 driving the Army M42 Jeep. Due to the freeze the dealers were all closed. I looked at the YouTube video's a few times and did it myself. Happy to report only four 10mm bolt need to be moved. This 78 year old man installed the new unit in less than 30 minutes. The service code went away by itself in 15 driving. So now I have the strangest condition for a 2013 Jeep Wrangler, no service codes being shown. ... show more

  • Perfect!
Fit my 2015 Durango perfectly. I had never installed one before, but it only took about 20 mins after watching a couple YouTube videos. Check engine light went away, and all has been well for months now. Great price and is nice and sturdy!

  • OEM pthermostat fit all the over heat issues with the aftermarket brands
Had aftermarket brand as OEM had not been available for some time now. Had to replace aftermarket one about every 3 to 6 months. This one did the trick and now no longer overheats and fan doesn't run loud. Perfect!

  • OEM parts for the win
The original thermostat had to be replaced at 8 years, 80K miles due to a fault code for taking too long to warm up in the wintertime in northern Utah, and I got an aftermarket from o-reillys due to convenience. That one failed in a short time due to a pinhole leak in the housing. The second one from o-reillys failed a short while later as an overheating problem at freeway speeds (indicating a water flow issue). Inspection found witness marks on the thermostat body indicating that it was opening in a weird crooked manner and sticking. This OEM replacement instantly solved the overheat and has been working correctly. ... show more

  • Slow shipping but worked well
10 minute install but 45 min to clear the air and add coolant. This thermostat is well built and is a direct replacement. Can’t complain.

  • Great product, OEM quality, and buy from Auto Parts Wholesale for great customer service!
The best option for replacement thermostat when you get a P0128 code on a 3.6 pentastar chrysler/dodge/jeep/ram engine. You can buy aftermarket, and it will get you by for awhile, but just save yourself time and go with OEM as they are the longest lasting option. Also, seller Auto Parts Wholesale went ahead and honored a price drop on the product 7 days after I purchased for a higher price! I asked them if they could do that since it was a 18% drop in such a short time and they took care of it no questions asked! to me this speaks volumes about their integrity and commitment to the customer. I will be sure to use them in the future for all of my parts needs. They offer great prices and even better service! ... show more
