The trashcan is definitely heavy duty. It is kind of an odd size so finding bags was a bit tough. I did find some 8-gallon bags that fit it decently well. The product will not be in a wet environment so I cant attest to rust or durability of the metal. The trash can does have a really nice matte black finish on it that matches my desk and other office furniture quite well. So far I am really pleased with the can and will report back any negative items if any that pop up. If you are looking for something that is more heavy-duty than a plastic trash can, I would safely be able to recommend this product. ... show more

    • It’s a garbage can.
It holds garbage beautifully. It’s metal. It doesn’t leak however depending upon what is in it it is possible that it will stink. Aside from that it sits quietly under my desk and doesn’t ask for much except to be emptied when full so that it doesn’t overflow. I would recommend It to anyone who needs to hold garbage in a smaller container before taking it to a larger container to take it to the street to be picked up by trash collectors. My intention is to keep it for many years and use it to contain things that I no longer need and do not feel I should donate to those less fortunate. I’m sure it’s sturdiness, durability and value for the money will pay for itself handsomely over the course of many years. ... show more

    • WHERE WAS THIS MY WHOLE LIFE
This can is awesome!!! I wanted something smaller than a 13 gallon kitchen trash and bigger than the typical bathroom trash can, and this fit the bill. I just had a baby and wanted a big can by my bed and rocking chair for the diapers and snack wrappers (don’t hate) that pile up so quickly. Sturdy and the perfect size. I came back and bought a second. I’ll be using these in my office and kitchen (recycling) when I no longer need them by my bed and chair because the typical big and small sizes just aren’t right for those either. 👏🏼😍 Yay for medium! Also, great price point. I hate to say it but I probably would’ve paid double for this beast because there’s not much else available out there that compares! I own a phone repair shop. I use this van for my old batteries as they are very strong and if punctured can burst into flames. This is very sturdy and a thick metal. Highly recommend.

This thing was fantastic, I have it on my patio to thrown in any junk ads, bank papers and use it to breakdown and burn cardboard boxes. The bucket has not melted or deformed in any way. I do however have 1 slight issue that I was not aware of before purchasing. There is a slight gap where the base is attached to the walls. This means that if you use water to put out this fire, the water will leak out the bottom. Not too big of an issue, just something to note. However, the issue this can cause, is that small embers can come out the bottom of this can. Even though I had the bucket up on a couple 2x4s to not be burning directly on the ground, I pulled up the bucket after using it the first few times and kept noticing burned ground below the can. The 2x4s were not burned, so it wasn't just radiating heat, and I put the bucket up on a couple CMU bricks so I could see underneath, and sure enough I could see a few glowing embers drop down from time to time. It isn't a flow or shooting sparks, it is truly very very minor. But if anyone uses this for a fire proof can inside, such as 1 review I noticed about an elderly person putting out cigarettes in it..... you may definitely want to be aware the carpet underneath may be a hazard. Truly, other than this very small issue I do love this bucket for it's intended burn barrel use. Still very satisfied with my purchase! ... show more

Needed a small/medium trash can for the kitchen that could be placed inside a cabinet. This was the best solution from a height perspective, and overall volume being approximately ~6 gallons, for our needs. It replaced a plastic one that has been used for 10-15 years. I appreciate the heavy duty nature of this product being metal. Simple, gets the job done, and a good value, not much more you can say about a trash can. ... show more

    • Larger than expected. Sturdily built. Overall well worth the money.
This can is much larger than expected going by the picture. I was expecting a standard office size garbage can but this is more like a kitchen size can. Not a bad thing just an observation. I bought this can because my mother has a habit of keeping a paper garbage under her desk to throw her tissues out and empty her ashtray into. You guessed it we had one full on fire and a couple of smoldering incidents. Luckily, all were caught in time before any major damage but it was time for a metal can to at least contain and give us more time to react to any subsequent incidents. Of course it would be a lot simpler to just not empty a possibly hot ashtray into a bag full of tissues but you try convincing your 70 y/o mother to change her habits. So far so good mom hasn't started any fires lately but I'm confident that this can will give us more 'lead time' to extinguish it before anything bad happens. ... show more
