Living in Southern California never having to worry about freezing radiators, I just used distilled water in my 2003 Ford Taurus. Once I decided to use antifreeze I began looking at Malmart. All I found was the green stuff. Began looking for specific products for Ford and found the Genuine Ford Fluid VC-7-B Gold Concentrated Antifreeze/Coolant. Put in car in hopes of preventing wear & tear on my thermostat, heater coil, and radiator. My Taurus seems to like this stuff. Running smoothly with 166000 miles. will review after next 25,000. Why does this have a flavor rating?! 🤣 The coolant was indeed red and in spec. Bought for my 2003 F350 with 7.3l diesel.
