This review is for Versine Illuminate & Refine Multi-Tasking Serum for Dry or Sensitive Skin The bottle of serum comes in a round tube. The bottle is a pump bottle, and usually they're not my favorite type for serums, however, this serum is quite thick so I understand why they used a pump bottle instead of a dropper. The serum is almost like a lotion in consistency when it comes out of the bottle. I do think it has a scent, but it is barely noticeable, so I assume it's probably from the ingredients in this product. The formula does leave the skin moisturized, but other than that I am not seeing any other benefits. This does have Jojoba Seed Oil and Tamanu Seed Oil in the ingredients, so that can be a problem for some. I also see that they have Kakadu Plum Extract, which is supposed to help brighten the skin. I found the ingredient list on their website. I've listed the ingredients at the end of my post. The price is pretty steep at $80 for 1 fl oz when not on sale. Personally I just cannot justify the amount for a product that seems to hydrate. I started using this product in the summer months and it started clearing up old sun damage spots, and I’m assuming it’s this (and my regular sunscreen, the one from rms) that helped keep new ones from coming. The scaly patches I used to have around my nose and chin are completely gone, and I think I started noticing that around month 2 of use. I am super dry so I rub in two little pumps of this serum and then add cream or lotion and/or oil on top at night, and when I remember to use it in the morning, I’ll put it on first, followed by cream + sunscreen. There’s next to no scent, and it’s easy to rub in quickly, and it plays well under makeup- no balling up and pilling like some other serums do.

This product has a HUGE premium. I think it is mainly because of how designer they are trying to be. I was going to knock a star due to the price tag, but it makes sense after looking up the brand. Versine is not an Amazon exclusive seller. They have a brand online that sell LUXURY skin care products that are specifically safe to nursing and pregnant women. That is not to say the product would not be good for all genders, pregnant or not, since we all have skin that needs care. Considering their target audience and brand direction, the pricing and design of this product makes sense, so I restored full marks. If you want it a little cheaper, you will have to get a discount and shop on their website. They must be just starting to branch out to Amazon because I am one of the first if not THE first review. Their website has hundreds of reviews for their products that are all the same 5 stars mine gives. However, they really need to update their product page and import the same information they have on their website. The Amazon page is pretty empty so most of the info about this product from their website. Almost makes me want to drop a star back down to four. Almost. The product comes in a beautiful package. The label is equally pretty. There are instructions on both the bottle and the package. Ingredients are only on the package. There is an insert that explains what each ingredient does. Takes a LOT of pumps to get the serum (more of a thin, white lotion) started, but once it does, it is good to go. Like I mentioned, not really a serum. It is white and more of a thinned-out lotion in terms of texture and viscosity. You do not need that much to get your whole face thankfully since if you use this little bottle twice a day as recommended, you will burn through your 80 USD real quick. No subscribe and save on Amazon but their website has that option for only 64 USD per shipment instead if you really like the product. The main selling point is that this product is formulated to be safe for nursing and pregnant women and to meet their needs. I am not pregnant, nor a woman so I cannot speak to this. Honestly, I am doing a better job of selling this product than they are on their product page! In summary, it's good. One of the best skin care products I have reviewed on Amazon. It is also a luxury brand, so you are going to pay a lot for a little. If you got the money to spend, then go for it. I would recommend this product.

Azelaic Acid is great for reducing bacteria on skin and is the number 2 ingredient. But its not an expensive ingredient, and the first ingredient is water, so I'm not sure where the $80 price tag comes from. This has good ingredients but you can get them elsewhere much cheaper.
