  • Great CNC with a phenomenal customer services
I rarely leave reviews on Amazon, but I felt compelled to do so for this product. It is one of the best CNCs on the market for its size, capabilities, and price. It is versatile enough to accommodate different laser modules and more powerful routers, such as the Makita handheld router with a 65mm collar. I have tried it with the RATTMMOTOR 800W Water Cooled Spindle Kit, 65mm Spindle Motor, and it works great. I also want to mention that the customer service is excellent. My original shipment was missing some hardware due to damage during shipping. I didn't want to return the entire unit, so I contacted SainSmart customer support. They were very responsive and helpful in getting me the replacement parts I needed. I think this is a great combination of a beginner-friendly CNC with phenomenal customer support. It is definitely worth the money! - The CNC is easy to assemble and use, even for beginners. - It is accurate and precise, producing high-quality results. - It is versatile and can be used for a variety of projects, including laser engraving, wood carving, and PCB milling. - The customer service is excellent, with quick responses and helpful support. ... show more

  • A strong hobby/small business machine
This machine delivers as promised. We follow Steve Makes Everything on YouTube and after doing our own research in addition to his reliable recommendations we bought it as an augment to our laser cutter which is of industrial size and 3D resin and filament printers. The machine is very stable and capable; I suspect we will upgrade the spindle, but despite my husband’s depth in all things CNC it must be mentioned that there is a considerable learning curve for any CNC router regardless of brand. This is due to the plethora of bits and how they behave with different woods of varying hardness, the speed with which you carve, and most importantly, the software that supports CNC routers. We are using Fusion at the moment because we bought it for the 3D printers, however, it leaves plenty to be desired. We are in wait of Lightburn’s release of Millmage, which is still in beta but is expected to be released sometime in Q1 2024 and I’m writing this in early January of 2024. Champing at the bit here as Lightburn is what we use for our laser. My husband very much likes it; it’s a very widely embraced platform in the laser community. We have high hopes but are muddling through in the interim with Fusion. You can spend a small fortune on bits; another thing to keep in mind before investing. Again this holds true for any router of any brand. But if you’re ready to tackle the learning curve or if you’ve already done that but are looking to upgrade to a larger carving field this is a valid choice. From what I can tell, its size, quality of build, and stability perch it on the dividing line between purely hobby level machines and industrial machines in that some aspects of this build mirror components of industrial machines yet the size and price point make it more broadly accessible. No regrets. ... show more

  • Capable!
Well thought out and executed. Quick to put together and a good supply if extra screws! I’m 76 and new to the whole CNC world but… so far the learning curve is attainable. I have even made several parts for display stands I supply for local artists and have found the machine (and spindle) more than capable for all my woodworking tasks. I can’t say enough about my initial impressions, but can certainly recommend the platform. Thanks to Genmitsu/Sainsmart for making an old guy productive in a new direction!!! ... show more

  • First CNC and manual is terrible
Took over 2 hours to assemble. For reference I am engineer by profession and an avid DIY woodworker who is competent with tools. Still getting a handle on using it, but looks like it is a nice unit and functional.

  • Good quality, sturdy machine
So far very happy with the router, came mostly assembled and the few cuts I’ve made so far are pretty accurate to design measurements. Cable management on Z-axis needs to be considered so you don’t rip leads on limit switches.

  • So far so good. Used it for laser and for router.
So far so what seems very stable outputs a good product. Very easy to assemble about 45 minutes to an hour. Very sturdy. Just wish they had more accessories to go with it like the fourth axis. Hoping in the future if more people buy these, they'll have the accessories available for this that are available for the other machines. Hope I didn't buy a dead ender. Purchased a laser for this machine. That had issues they immediately Sent me replacement, no questions asked in record time. By accessories I meant roller for engraving mugs with laser. ... show more

  • Do your research & read & watch all there is to know about your C&C machine
It’s big - so make sure you have a good space. Have it on a movable table. Machine is well made & looks good. Only made a few pieces so far - still learning - but am very happy with performance.
