- Structure Stabilit: Stability is enhanced with a new steel HSS frame. Each axis features two16mm Steel HSS linear tubes , lead screw motion drivers, dual Y-axis rails, and a all metal frame. The Z-axis utilizes linear rails instead of rods and T8 lead screws.

This little CNC is great. I can do a lot of work using different CAD systems to create designs. I especially am enjoying a monthly subscription with Carveco that gives me access to a lot of good tutorials for producing lots of different designs, including things like inlays. I’m also using auto cad fusion 360 with good results. The one suggestion I have is that the provided spindle is pretty weak. I replaced it with a water cooled 2 hp spindle from Amazon and it can cut through anything. The carriage and drives seem to be very sturdy and allows me to get good cuts even with the larger spindle. I’ve also found that sainsmart customer service is great and very quick to send parts if needed.

Below is my previous review. I am changing from a 2 star to a 5 star. This vendor has EXCELLENT customer service! They have worked with me and corrected all my issues. Even though this design has its issues this vendor drives for 100% customer satisfaction. I am very happy with the product now. I own three CNC’s from Genmitsu. This is by far the worst of their designs. The spoil boards are warped. The wiring layout is problematic allow wires to be damaged during assembly. Y axis thumb wheels are worthless. They just bind up. I don’t recommend this CNC. The 3020 pro is a far superior machine.

I LOVE THIS MACHINE! This is the best machine for the money on the market period. Here is my story. First I bought the Fox Alien rubber band CNC which was a huge mistake. I was busy with other things so it sat there unused until I got to it. I found out the motherboard was bad, they replaced it and quickly, they even gave me their new 1/4" bit set as a sorry for the issue, which was nice. Then I tried to cut 1/8" cast acrylic plastic and it would not cut it! I added 5 passes to cut 1/8" plastic, and it still would not cut it. Meanwhile I am emailing them asking how to fix this. Their rubber bands would skip and destroy every cut I tried to make. I finally gave up and they would NOT give me my money back on their product. So I bought the Genmitsu 4040 Pro for less money. No rubber bands, just solid metal screw drive. Same exact stepper motors and this thing is a beast. I surfaced my cutting board since the Fox Alien destroyed it. It cut is so smooth it is like a mirror finish. I love this machine. It will cut and it is so accurate, I love this machine. Yes it is not as fast as the Fox Alien, but who cares, it actually works, it cuts and anything. If it fits into the machine it will cut it. Obviously you have to work within limits but this is a beast of a machine. I love it period. Yes I relocated the power to underneath it so I did not break it off, not sure why they have it sticking out the side, but who cares. This thing works so good, get one you will be happy you did.

Update: Odile from SainSmart tech support contacted me on my issues. We worked several steps over a few days. Odile was extreamly helpfull and worked well with me. By the end my system was running great. Turns out my firmware was corrupted but we were able to get it corrected. Because of all the great support I am happily updating my review to 4 stars. Not 5 because of the length of time to get any support. I originally tried contacting the company with no reply, but placing the issue in Amazon solved the response. Don't waste your time or money with sainsmart. No support, no replacement parts. The 4040 pro with the 6060 upgrade dead, they have no replacement parts. Update: it took over a week but they have finally contacted me for tech support. The part I ordered that they canceled the order, now has an estimated time of mid July.

The media could not be loaded. Machine arrived like 4 days late base plates had burs. So I ordered 6040 upgrade so I didn't have to shipachine back and wait for them to ship one back. Upgrade got here with scratched up poles, a broken wire and aluminum plate drill holes were like 1/2 off so box for CPU couldn't mount oh yea and like 4lbs of loctite on setscrews and rod I needed to take off for upgrade . Did I mention playing email tag with customer service for my whole entire vacation 🤦. Was so excited to get this machine just to end in failure. Got mine in a combo special don't know if that had anything to do with it?? Go 4-5 days without hearing from customer service. Thisachine has potential if they keep up with quality control although I never got to see it run. Have to return it after already been x3 weeks wait 30days after return to get my refund and I'm a prime member what a joke. My whole vacation wasted on this and emailing people who don't answer back in a timely matter and Amazon no help what so ever either. U can find my reviews on YouTube under 4040pro upgrade reviews . Had even more pictures butakes me nauseous even seeing them. Buyer beware 🙏
