I purchased this Genkins 4500 watt generator and it worked great. Unfortunately, after about 6 weeks it stopped working. After informing Genkins Direct, they offered me to send it back and refund me or send me a new one. Since the 4500 watt was a little to heavy to lift for me, I opted for the 3800 watt, which is lighter, and I didn't really need 4500 watt. Only reason gave 4 stars gas gauge is stuck. Reasonably quiet easy to start runs everything in camper with ease would like to run generator Only to get a better idea of gas consumption seem pretty reasonable also bought magnetic dip stick to catch floaters for break in process have approximately 30-40 hrs on it wish it had an hr gauge for maintenance and gas consumption calculations. I took this camping, I pulled it out in the woods away from my campground probably 100 feet away, was so low I could barely hear it. If I didn't know it was there I probably wouldn't have noticed. I needed it to run a fridge cooler 247. One tank of gas lasted.me about 12 or so hours on pretty low power consumption. The most I ran it was on a projector, a Nintendo switch, a DVD player, the cooler, a sound bar, and some charging phones all.at the same time and it never left the green status. It being so heavy dragging it through the woods was real bumpy and I tipped it a.few.times so now it's leaking oil in my garage, but that's my fault. It still runs also. Great quiet generator. More power then I needed but I'll be using it for my house also. ... show more

I wanted a generator that did not have a self start feature because of weight and having a battery that I have to maintain. I can pick it up to put in the bed of my pickup truck. I checked the output frequency and voltage. 60.0 hertz with 122 vac with 30 % load. The generator has some small features that are well thought out. A small strainer where you pour gas into the gas tank and a filter on the gas line from the tank to the carburetor, also a flexible hose from the crankcase to drain the oil when necessary. ... show more

Once getting this, it took about 10 minutes to set up. Between oil (need to buy oil for it), gas, and connecting the battery, it’s seamless. I figured it may take a quite a few tries to start up for the first time, but it took two. Both of those tries were from the remote control (it recommends pull start first). After it started, I was surprised by how quiet it is. It was started up briefly in the garage so I figured it would be louder, but nope. It’s about as loud as someone talking next to you. This will be put to use for all sorts of camping this year, although I’m not looking forward to trying to get this in my truck by myself (it’s heavy for one normal person). ... show more
