Description

Our unique GENSHED generator shed is designed for both running & store your generators at the same outdoor location. Our sheds differentiate from any other generator running covers on the market by having an All-Around Steel Frame wrapping the generator inside and the fabric covers are locked to surface of the steel frame on all sides. Thus, there are no free handing fabric covers that may swing or flip in the windy condition to touch the hot running generator. The other advantage is when all side covers are rolled down, the shed acts like an elevated house to cover the generator on all side against rain, snow and dust. You can still move the generator with the shed on since the bottom of the shed normally has about 2 to 3 inches ground clearance, this ground clearance also prevents the bottom edge of the side covers from buried into the ground snow in winter. We have different models to cover branded generators like Honda, Generac, Champion, Firman, Duromax etc. ranging from 2.5 K to 15K, inverter or gas generators. Please measure your generator’s L x W and select the right model.

With lots of Velcro there are multiple configurations for use while the generator is running. Highly recommend the model with a peaked top to aid water shedding. Shipping was very quick. Assembly is not too difficult but I had to partially disassemble to place it over the generator because the bottom rails would not fit over the handles. Once I figured that out it worked out fine and I put the bottom rail back on. The generator I have is DuroMax Hybrid XP13000. There is plenty of room under the cover for all the connections to the plug in panel and still keep the flap down. I feel this is sturdy enough and weatherproof to go through thunderstorms and ice storms. ... show more

The cover was a perfect fit on a Firman 7500 Watt Dual Fuel Generator. Good and not excessive clearance all around on the inside. About 2.5 inches clearance from the ground to give good protection from the rain, but allow you to move it easily. Tools and the bolts are a problem. The provided wrench strips the nut since the wrench fit with the nut did not seem tight enough. A better wrench is needed. You can get good tightening of you use your own socket (7mm). The bolt could also be a better quality. The provided Allen wrench seemed to strip the bolts when tightening. If the bolts are snug, the nut side only can be tightened. It would also be helpful if the parts were labeled with stickers (A, B, C, etc.). After assembly it is a good quality. ... show more

I've been looking for something like this for years. All the portable generator's instructions say to not use them in the rain, which is exactly the time you're most likely to need it. This addresses that problem and does it well. Although I haven't actually used it yet, I was impressed the the apparent high quality of the construction and thickness of the materials used. They also included a generous amount of hook and loop fasteners to hold it to the generator while in use. It's easy to keep the sides, where the electrical connections and switches usually are, covered, and leave the ends open for engine exhaust and air intake/cooling air. I can't speak to durability yet but it certainly looks well made. I guess that accounts for the price; you get what you pay for though. ... show more

I’m extremely happy with my purchase! It’s a creative solution to keep our generator covered in our rainy Seattle weather. The Velcro used is very strong yet allows quick access to refill the gas tank. Allow ample time for setup and if you have a buddy to help you would appreciate the extra set of hands. Direction could have been written/illustrated better, but that is the only negative thing I could say. It installs easily and fastens down well. It has survived several windstorms without damage or loosening. Most importantly, it protects my generator while it is in operation.

Let me start by saying it does what it's supposed to do. Keeps my generator covered and dry. The Genshed sat outside during Beryl, didn't blow away and kept the generator dry as a bone. Mine has a roof defect. There is velcro around the outer edge of the roof that is supposed to attach to the sides. On mine both the roof velcro and where it is supposed to attach are the loop portion so they won't attach to each other. I contacted the company immediately upon assembly and received a quick response. I am still waiting for the new roof section to be delivered and it's been 6 weeks. So in summary, the Genshed does what it's designed to do, but it's not as sturdy as I would have hoped. If it hadn't survived the hurricane it would have gone back, and now my return window is closed. ... show more
