Description

Hold up to 50 RapidRooter® plugs with the RapidRooter® Plug Tray (RapidRooter® plugs included). RapidRooter® is a unique seed starter plug derived from peatmoss. The air-to-water ratio within the plug matrix promotes root growth. For best results, soak plugs in water or mild nutrient to re-hydrate. Place seed or cutting in the center hole of the plug. Keep about a quarter inch of water in the bottom of the tray to maintain plug moisture. When roots appear, the RapidRooter® plugs are ready to be transplanted.

    • Amazing germination!
Size: 50 Plugs Style: 50 Count
I recently tried General Hydroponics Rapid Rooter Starter Plugs for germinating seeds, and I have been extremely pleased with the results. These little plugs have made the process of starting seeds a breeze. First and foremost, the convenience of using Rapid Rooter plugs is a major advantage. They are pre-moistened and ready to use right out of the box, which saves a lot of time and hassle. No need to soak or prepare them beforehand. No filling trays with soil/ starter, just insert your seeds and watch them take off! The success rate with these plugs has been impressive. I've had a high percentage of seeds germinate and develop strong, healthy root systems. It's clear that these plugs provide an ideal environment for seedlings to thrive. The consistency of the medium ensures even moisture distribution, which is crucial for successful germination. One of the standout features of Rapid Rooter plugs is their compatibility with various growing methods. Whether you're using them in a traditional soil-based setup or a hydroponic system, they work seamlessly. The plugs are also pH balanced, which helps maintain a stable growing environment for your seedlings. Another benefit is their durability. These plugs hold up well over time, and you can even reuse them for multiple rounds of seed starting if you're careful when removing the seedlings. The only minor drawback I've found is that they can be a bit on the expensive side compared to other seed-starting methods. However, the convenience and success rate more than make up for the cost in my opinion. In conclusion, General Hydroponics Rapid Rooter Starter Plugs are a fantastic choice for anyone looking to start seeds successfully. They're easy to use, highly effective, and versatile for different growing systems. I highly recommend them to both novice and experienced gardeners looking to give their seeds the best possible start. These plugs have certainly earned a permanent spot in my gardening toolkit. ... show more

    • EASY & 100% Germination rate so far
Size: 50 Plugs Style: 50 Count
I originally purchased these for some pepper plants that I was wanting to plant indoor. Upon several failed attempts of trying paper towel methods, and shot glass methods, I decided to give these a try. Every seed that I have put inside of the rapid rooters has germinated in roughly 24 hours. Super simple to use, just follow the instructions. Will definitely be buying more for all of my other plants. ... show more

These are amazing! I just add root hormone. Photo of how it started vs. how it’s going! They’ve been in the ground about 2 months now and still thriving. It only took them about a week and a half to start growing roots.

    • Perfect for cloneing
Size: 50 Plugs Style: 50 Count
I recently purchased the General Hydroponics Rapid Rooter Starter Plug for Seeds or Cuttings and am very pleased with the results. The plugs are great for both soil and hydroponic growing systems, and I found it easy to insert cuttings or seeds into the plugs. The plugs are well constructed and provide a great environment for roots to form and grow. I also found the plugs to be very absorbent, which helps in providing the right balance of moisture and nutrients for the roots. I would highly recommend the General Hydroponics Rapid Rooter Starter Plugs to anyone looking for an effective and easy way to start seeds or cuttings. The 50 plugs provide plenty of room for multiple plants. ... show more

    • Excellent for cloning
Size: 50 Plugs Style: 50 Count
For decades before finding these plugs, I used the standard rockwool cubes. These plugs beat rockwool in my setups. No need to soak or prepare the medium, just insert a clone and come back in a week. Tip: you can freeze these. If you’re not going to be using all of them at once put the bag in the freezer. They won’t dry out and won’t get crushed. That then out when needed. Another tip: don’t over saturate them by adding a bunch more water. Just keep them moist and spongy. No need to drench the plugs and risk rot. They work best when moist and sponge like. ... show more
