I love this generac generator, it puts out a lot of power, it's easy to start, it's fuel injected so it runs smoother and more reliably, but there are some cons to this generator and they go as follows: Pros: Lots of power, easy to start using a key ignition, it's fuel injected so it's definitely mor
e fuel efficient than a traditional carbureted generator, it puts out clean power compared directly to the carbureted model that's similar, it responds to power demand quickly and smoothly. Cons: it's really loud same noise output as a carbureted model, it weighs 260 Lbs dry, 300 Lbs with a full fuel tank so you won't be loading and unloading this generator by yourself. Overall it's what I would expect from a large generator ***Update 3/9/23*** The generator is continuing to operate absolutely flawlessly, I have owned this generator for about a year now, I have not experienced this " parasitic electric draw during storage" or " failure to start" or have other electrical starting issues. Mine came with a perfect battery right out of the gate, and I follow the storage and maintenance instructions, I'm noticing that a lot of the negative reviews about the generator not wanting to start, are because they are not reading the owner's manual which tells you that if you're going to store this generator for longer than a few days without running it then you should keep the electric battery charger plugged into the front of the generator to both maintain the battery and the electrical systems of the generator. It includes a charger for this purpose. Anyway, I have experienced absolutely zero issues with this generator, it's on running hour 935. ***UPDATE7/11/23*** Running hour 1597.6, still no problems, replaced the spark plug for the first time, this wasn't necessary, as the plug was still good, but an ounce of preventative maintenance is worth a pound of longevity. Left the generator off the battery maintainer for over 3 months while it was in storage, and when I pulled it out, and gassed it up, with a couple of primes to get the gas flowing, it started right up. Generac must have made some defective units as I still have yet to experience this parasitic electrical draw that others describe, these must be older units, as the reviews are older, so I think Generac fixed the issue with the current model. Go Generac, Thanks for the workhorse powerhouse! ***UPDATE 12/3/23*** I haven't had to use this generator for my company much, and my bud who's off gridding, just had his generator quit, so I let him barrow this machine, and with making him provide receipts to prove maintenance of my unit like oil changes, filter cleanings, and occasional fuel injector cleaning like Gumm-out added to the tank, he just purchased a much larger generator for his tiny home, and gave this unit back to me. He used this as his main power source for almost 6 months while he saved up to purchase a new unit and batteries and solar panels. It has well over 6000 hours on it now, AND IT STILL STARTS AND OPERATES LIKE NEW. GENERAC PUT A MINI CAR ENGINE IN THIS THING. My bud told me just how reliable this thing was for him and told me he is now forever sold on Generac! Like I said before about maintenance and following the owners manual, and an ounce of preventative maintenance is worth a pound of longevity, but also Generac for making a generator so powerful and also so reliable and so well built, it handled the Arizona summer (in the middle of the desert) like a beast. If you need a generator for your Constuction site, or you use a generator often for your work or recreation, or if your an off-gridder and need that absolute can-not-fail-you generator that puts your mind at ease to own and operate, buy this one. @8KW it's enough to do just about anything. I still can't say this enough. THANK YOU!
