Our Generac is a 2012 model rated for 20KW. Lightning during a storm caused the controller to malfunction. The controller had to be replaced. This is what we replaced it with. No issues at all with installation. Our Generac is back up and running flawlessly once again.

    • Perfect replacement and solved the blank display problem.
I first checked my Generac generator repair manual to troubleshoot the symptoms. According to the instructions, I could identified that the situation with the display could be solved by replacing the control panel assembly. The control panel assembly also has the AC voltage regulator embedded inside. The installation of the OEM replacement was easy to perform, and the voltage production variance that the generator had previously was solved, too. Very pleased with the purchase, at a very reasonable price! Update June, 2024: The Control Panel assembly replaced las year is still working fine, and the generator AC voltage is very stable. The voltage produced fluctuates between 120 and 122 volts AC, which is pretty good, a lot better than our service provider. ... show more

For those of you who need the part number ending B this is the kit for you. It converts perfectly and easily. The B part is obsolete.

    • Controller worked right out of the box perfectly!
I didn’t pay attention to software versions just the model number and it worked perfectly. This was 499. And only the controller, not the other available full kit that I also saw. Happy to spend less. My display was blank which is why I purchased.
