This item is excellent, two pulls fires right up. Used during a power outage for a fridge and chest freezer, saved me from starting the whole house unit. Super quiet. Awesome for camping.

    • Stopped working after 3 days
Listen, I’m good with small engines. I’ve worked with a lot of them. But this little generator failed to meet every expectation except one… it is quiet. However after 3 days it died. Now it won’t start again. Most likely it’s a bad carb. But I don’t want to have to repair something after only 3 days. The worst part is that it can’t be returned or replaced due to the policy. It also failed to meet performance expectations. The only thing it powered was a very small mini fridge that ran at 750w. Given the rating, i expect better. Though i was able to hook a fan up to it with the fridge, that was all. Even hooking a laptop to do it blew the breaker. I suppose you get what you pay for. But I truly did expect better after reading all of the reviews on this. It’s possible that i got a faulty one. But I’ll never know because of the policy… $650 blown. Lost. Would’ve been better off gambling with it. And I’m no gambler. ... show more

    • Easy Pull Start. Easy on The Ears.
I like the ease of the pull start. Generators are not ultra quiet by nature but this Generac 8251 GP2500i is not obnoxious at all. Pleased with my purchase.

This is a quality generator, at a price less then the local stores, shipped to my home. Easy to carry, it powered my RV with no issue. I ran every appliance, albeit 1 at a time, managing the 19 amp rating.

I’m an utter noob at this stuff. I struggled more with the gas can. After adding the supplied oil, it started after 4 pulls. Running 2 fridges. 2 outages in 2 weeks. That’s why you buy these things.
