I bought my Generac about 2yrs ago and really never had a reason to use it. Last night, 2026-02-14, our power went out for 14 hours! Didn't come back on until 8am the next day! Well Generac didn't disappoint! I live in South Texas and it's very humid and hot but this little device powered my Dyson fan; iPad and Wi-Fi card for 14 hours and only used about 15-20% of it's battery life. We have lost power due to hurricane Helene. I had a small battery that I was using to keep my reef tank from crashing but it required constant recharging so I bought this Generac thinking that it would last for more hours and I would be able to keep my fish and corals alive. I was so excited when it arrived and quickly went to a friends house that has power to charge it. It worked beautifully for two days. Today after charging it and going to use it again, an alert light came on and it stopped working. after being placed on hold with Generac for half an hour (was hung up on once) they could not resolve the issue. I decided just to return it. Amazon won't let me return it as you end up in a loop of customer service non-answers. The seller won't accept it back as they say Amazon should handle it. The battery 🔋 life is amazing we plug our 32 inch TV and spot lights it gives us more than 10 hours of battery life. I highly recommend this. Update: it actually does work, have to turn on the dc charger. Works fine if your phone is small. I bought the gb2000. It has a wireless charger on the top that is useless, doesn't work. I called the number on the box. Registered it, then was told I have to take it to a shop that's 19 miles away. Or pay travel expenses for someone to come from even further,(if they even will.) I cannot leave my husband alone so, I have a generator with a useless but pretty design on the top. I hope the rest of this thing works, haven't had a power outage yet. I thought generac would be better. Now I know, names don't matter anymore. ... show more

It is well made and well designed. Charging the battery is a longer process than most think, hence they don't discuss that in advertising. With that aside, it works for me because of no fuel, no noise and operation inside buildings. If you limit it to tools, lights, small appliances, etc. it's very good.
