Fits like a glove. Original went cloudy and couldn’t be read. This resolved it.

    • Easy to install and it works.
- It takes longer to get the gauge out of the packaging than to remove and install it in the generator. I removed the old gauge by prying it out with a small blade regular screwdriver then wiggled the new one back in. - Another reviewer said to put some lube on the gasket which was good advice. I used a small amount Superzilla on the gasket and that did the trick. - Same price as ordering from Generac. ... show more

I replaced the gauge in my 30 year old Generac generator. The old one popped out, this one popped in, and I was good to go.

    • Fit perfectly!
Replace this fuel gauge on my generac RS5500. Used a small flat blade screwdriver and a soft cloth and removed it carefully. Put a little lubricate around the rubber seal when reinstalling and it fit perfectly and now I can see how much fuel is in the tank.

The new Generac fuel Guage was easy to install and works great. The old Guage was impossible to read and was starting to leak a little gas and the new Guage fixed both of the problems. I noticed in some other reviews a few people said they had trouble installing the rubber seal and Guage but I did not have any problem just pressing mine into the hole in the gas tank. I did put some rubber lubricant on the seal before installing it so that may have made a difference. I would buy this again if I needed to replace the Guage in the future. ... show more

Excellent OEM part. The clear plastic on mine was cloudy and very hard to read. LUBRICATING the rubber gasket when installing makes it easier.
