It's two most important features-- it is very warm, and people can see you (I got the orange one). I purchased this jacket several weeks before the weather turned bad, and then finally broke it out and tested it during the horrid nationwide winter storm we experienced here in the United States in late December of 2022. In my particular part of the country-- the Great Lakes region of the upper U.S. --it was minus one degree Fahrenheit, and that did not include the wind-chill. So pretty freakin' cold. Well, this jacket/coat kept me warm. A very nice, built-in (non-removable) liner. Plenty of interior and exterior pocket space (the pockets are DEEP-- great for large smartphones, folded paper documents, keys, etc. etc.). My criticisms are minor: The upper interior pocket is best left almost all the way zipped up, when using it, rather than zipping it up completely. The reason is because that particular zipper is small, so if you zip it up completely, it can be difficult to grasp and unzip-- so you'll want to leave a little space there. And, since this jacket was so warm, not really a problem for me, but others might not like that all of the "fabric" of this jacket-- both the outer shell and the inner liner --is made of polyester. Very satisfied with this jacket. I'm 5'11" and 140 lbs. And a small size fit perfect. If just an inch or two short. Stops halfway down my butt. I love all the little features like buttons at bottom of jacket so you can keep it "closed" without zipped up. All the drawstrings to pull bottom, arms and neck tight. Detachable hood with a facemask (basically) wrap around button snap thing to keep neck or mouth warm. The thumb holes are bottom to keep top of hands warm and arms closed off. Great stuff. Love all the colors too. Personally I got the coffee brown and it has a little more orange tint to it than I expected but looks fantastic. Can't wait to truly test it in Tennessee here next week in in the teens temperatures with wind chill. ... show more

Now, THIS is a jacket! 👍👍👍👍👍 Finally, for the first time in my life, I have a jacket that will keep me perfectly warm during the fall and winter months in San Diego, California. Most people here are like, “It doesn’t ever get so cold that it snows here,” And I tell them, “That’s why I’m not wearing two t-shirts + one or two sweaters + this jacket + a scarf + at least one pair of heavy, waterproof pants + two pairs of heavy socks + heavy boots + one or two heavy hats, like I would in light snow. I always thought a winter coat had to be heavy to be warm. This coat disproved that on several levels! It is lightweight with fleece hood with lining in all the right places. It keeps me very warm and is a great windbreaker! I love the thumbslots in the sleeves too. Excellent winter coat!

This jacket shocked me at how well it handles the cold. I was in CO and it was 14* and with gusts at the top of the mountain it was a real feel of 5*. I was only wearing a t-shirt under this and was fine. It has loads of pockets for storage for ski lift card or glasses or phone etc... Really came in handy skiing. This coat feels fitted, not as boxy as most winter coats, is incredibly comfortable and WORKS. I went on a 3 day/night winter tent camping trip in the mountains where temperatures got below 10 F and this kept me very warm.

Seams like it will be a great warm winter jacket, though I have ye to wear it outside. I am usually a large in most items but based on sizing and not wanting to look like im wearing my dads jacket I went with the medium. I knew it would likely be a bit snug, but I think it will perfect.
