  • Surprisingly warm!
I bought this coat because I walk to work six days a week. It's about a two mile walk and I live in west Michigan. I wanted something warm and had some water resistance. I'm 5 "11 and around 175 -180 LBs. Medium fits with room to spare. I'm long through the torso and have largish shoulders. I don't feel confined at all. Side pockets are usable for keeping my hands from freezing. They are a little shallow though. Zippers feel like they are well made as well as the fabric itself. Inside pocket is odd. Angled and a bit shallow. My glasses fell out one afternoon. Now I keep it zipped at all times. Front exterior chest pocket is easily accessible and deep. Odd choice for the deepest pocket but it will work. The hood when attached looks okay and not tacked on. It's decent sized for my big head and warm. During the rain the water did bead up on the coat so the resistance seems sound. Only two complaints. For me this jacket can almost be too warm. Some kind of venting would be helpful. Temperature can start off near zero in the morning and rise up 40 degrees by the afternoon. Leaving unzipped is my compromise. It's not perfect but it keeps me from overheating. My other issue/non issues is the Velcro closures on the zipper cover on the front. Velcro screams cheap and it can sometimes wear quickly. And it also unintentionally attacheds itself to my bag strap at least one a day. That is not Velcro it's just worn. Snaps or buttons or I don't know magnets would of been better. And lastly that damn sound it makes irritates the crap out of me. But...mostly I lack confidence in it's longevity. Overall a good bargain for a warm coat with a couple of mildly annoying features that at least to me weren't deal breakers. ... show more

  • Great Jacket with Some Room for Improvement
The quick review is that this is a stylish, good-fitting, and warm jacket that'll get you through a full day of skiing or snowboarding. The arms and torso of the jacket have pretty good waterproofing to boot. My only real concerns revolve around the pockets and straps. If left unzipped, ice and water seem to get trapped pretty easily in the pockets, and the lack of vents in the jacket mean your pockets and their contents are prone to being a little damp at the end of the day (not a huge issue, but worth noting). The sleeve straps are also a little too loose to be very usable in my opinion, and while my wrists are not super large, even with gloves on, I couldn't get a tight "seal" at the end of the sleeves. Again, this isn't a huge issue, but worth noting. Overall, in spite of having a couple small issues, I really like this jacket and would recommend it to anyone who needs a relatively inexpensive jacket that punches above its weight in terms of value. ... show more

  • Perfect Jacket - Looks awesome.
This jacket was awesome during whole ski trip. Kept me warm on the slopes and fit great. The zippers are awesome, although i did have one stick closed, but was able to eventually fix it. Good buy, highly recommended.

  • Nice color / toasty warm
Color: Sky Blue Size: Medium
Already have several light jackets w/o hood and a parka coat for extreme cold. Was looking for something in between the jackets and the parka when temps are between 10 and 40 degrees Fahrenheit. I don't think this is that jacket (too toasty). Seems about as warm as the parka; this jacket is about waist length whereas the parka is more pelvis/hip length. I am 5'7" 190 lbs. and the Medium is a little snug but not too tight wearing one layer. The 5 pockets I guess are OK (the inside mesh pocket a little on the small side). The inside zipper pocket is too small for my Samsung A51 w/ case. Without the case it is a snug fit. All the other pockets it fits OK. I will keep this jacket in spite of the cons. I would appreciate any suggestions for a light hooded weatherproof jacket suitable for temps around freezing +/- 20 degrees. The more pockets the better. Thanks in advance. ... show more

  • Price/Quality
Color: Black Grey Size: X-Large
I think the quality for this ski jacket is pretty darn good, considering the price. It’s a great value and it kept me plenty warm and I think is very stylish. I would recommend it for anyone trying to save money and still stay as warm as some of your more expensive jackets.

  • Warm and Bright
Its two most important features-- it is very warm, and people can see you (I got the orange one). I purchased this jacket several weeks before the weather turned bad, and then finally broke it out and tested it during the horrid nationwide winter storm we experienced here in the United States in late December of 2022. In my particular part of the country-- the Great Lakes region of the upper U.S. --it was minus one degree Fahrenheit, and that did not include the wind-chill. So pretty freakin' cold. Well, this jacket/coat kept me warm. A very nice, built-in (non-removable) liner. Plenty of interior and exterior pocket space (the pockets are DEEP-- great for large smartphones, folded paper documents, keys, etc. etc.). My criticisms are minor: The upper interior pocket is best left almost all the way zipped up, when using it, rather than zipping it up completely. The reason is because that particular zipper is small, so if you zip it up completely, it can be difficult to grasp and unzip-- so you'll want to leave a little space there. And, since this jacket was so warm, not really a problem for me, but others might not like that all of the "fabric" of this jacket-- both the outer shell and the inner liner --is made of polyester. But, as I said, it was still plenty warm. A very comfortable and durable Winter jacket (heavy enough to be considered a coat). ... show more

  • WARMTH below 20.
Bought coat for my trip back home (Montana) that was experiencing below zero weather. Luckily for me it warmed up and even made it to 30s one day. The jacket was warm and best of all stopped the freezing wind. Great jacket for the price. Only con would be the sleeves have no ventilation so you start sweating. Pros: I love all the zipper pockets. Great hood with neck closure. The breast pocket is great for my samsaung 23 ultra with wallet case on it. So large pocket. Inside webbing on right side was to lose so didn't trust it with anything important. As you can see I layer my clothing to fit the weather. No thermo wear underneath. Coolest day out was 12 degrees. I would buy again ... show more
