My testing reveiw: I have it in line with my PC with 620G XHD, my CAVS DVD 105G-multi/CDG/USB-XHD/MPEG4/HDCD player, my Gemini MM-3000 3 mic/5 channel Mixer, and my Gemini PA-7000 PreAmp, driving two 15" KCH subs, four 8" mids, and two 8" singers floor monitors. So far I haven't turned the PreAmp OR the Amp up more than 1 o'clock and I AM GETTING SOME SERIOUS BIG AWESOME CLEAR SOUND WITH ALMOST NO DISTORTION. This is with it set up with a balanced 8 ohms per speaker setup side, so that's the lowest power setting of 150 rms. Of course I don't want to push it. For another $170 (or less)I plan to get another for output B on my PreAmp, for speaker upgrades to larger venues. That'a my review. Solid amplifier. Best of all - No noise at all at 100% volume. Completely silent.: ) good punch with no audible distortion(except in my ears) Things to note: Loud fans. I am using it as a monitor amp in my home studio and they were annoying. They run full power all the time. Be careful trying to replace them. They are 24v and you will void the warranty. 3000 watts is a peak measurement. It is 200 watts RMS PER CHANEL @ 8 ohms or 400 watts bridged mono. I would recommended this amp for live sound or DJ's, but not for in home use. I replaced the fans and added temperature control run by my PC at an expense of $100.00 and ten hours of work. If I didn't really like it I would have bought one more expensive that didn't have loud a** fans. A competent amplifier that works. I like mine and happily bought another after several years. As usual, the nominal peak power output is entirely divorced from reality, so read the specs to see what it's capable of in your application. I found that a single XGA-3000 can quite easily drive my Peavey PR-15 speaker pair well beyond what I'd ever require in a typical midsize indoor space. Pros: - Sufficient connection options for both line in and speaker out. - Robust connection terminals. - Good value at this price ($150-190 in recent years). Cons: - Volume switches feel cheap. Every time I touch it I feel I need to be careful. - Resistance on volume switches can differ and is much less than I would prefer. Even going over it with a dusting brush is enough to move them. You could rub against one by mistake and crank it. - Loud fans in the recent version. - Unit is ever-so-slightly too tall to be racked adjacent to other hardware. Version 1 of this product had some screws that protruded from the bottom. Version 2 removes these screws, but increases the height of the front face by about 2 mm. In both versions, it's just enough to make mounting all your hardware flush impossible. This is a major frustration and would add difficulty for people with small cabinet racks or portable cases. Since I last purchased this product around 2010, there have been some slight changes, which I understand but slightly disapprove of: - front color changed from deep grey to black - volume knob size greatly increased - RCA input option removed ... show more

If you are starting out with a band and saving money, then this is a good solution for you. If you have a weekly gigging band playing professionally 3 times a week, this is a waste of your money. Docked star for noise on it. This unit is loud…super loud the fans sound like running one of those handheld Dustbuster vacuums. Docked a star for performance. This unit is weak. Have to have knobs cranked almost 3/4 of the way up all the time to achieve decent results. Though it was just the mixer we were using so we had our sound technician play with it and they didn’t like it either. ... show more

this amplifier is not the best in the market like crown but if you really want this amplifier to sound good you need a good speaker like the Pyle PADH215 2000W Heavy Duty Speaker MDF Construction with Reinforced Corners you will get the best sound but for you to get the best sound you will need one thing you need only one speaker and connected to the mono input bridge you will get the best sound and powerful so you will need to play all your music with itune and please tune your music in the equalizer of itune you won't regret it this how i have my set up and it sound excellent i recomend to anybody to buy this amp but make sure you buy only one speaker because if you plug two speaker the sound is going to be stereo and the sound is not going to be a lot of power but if you want to take the juice out of this amp just bridge the amp and connected in the mono you will love it trust me you wont regret it this it my set up and the good thing about this amp is that they don't shut down. buy this amp people ... show more

We purchased two of these amps for our church, after extensive research. Then I found a great deal for them here on Amazon, and the church agreed to buy them. I have since installed them and re-routed many of the wires that needed to be moved. We use one for our stage monitors, and one for our mains. I thought my brain was going to melt while trying to figure out the ohms that would be on each amp, as these have a safety feature that prevent them from functioning without a minimum of 8 ohms. With these bad boys installed, I can rattle the entire church with music on Youth Group nights, and still get a pleasant level, and well balanced sound on Sundays. The assisted living home up the hill from our church have told me more than once that they can hear the music when we have Youth Group. Now I need to upgrade our sound board to keep up with the output capabilities of these amps. ... show more
