I have blond hair and fair skin, so I have to be careful in the sun. I bought this hat to wear outside when gardening or mowing. I bought the grey version in order to have a light, reflective hat surface. It is a very light grey, almost white, and is just what I wanted. It is comfortable and the floppy brim keeps the sun off of my face and ears. The chin strap is definitely a plus for me; when the wind is blowing, it used to blow off my old straw hat, but not this one. The chin strap keeps it on my head where I need it.

I wanted a had with a wide brim to protect my neck as well as my face. This hat does that. I was hoping for a bit thicker material but it works fine and for the price i shouldn't have expected any difference. It's just a bit flopper than other hats i have used. Still a great hat.

Was looking for a replacement for a hat I had for years. This one is close but not as nice quality as my old one. I need cotton because of skin allergies. Size is right. Chin tie is cheap. A good utility had.
