My dad is 91 and has little personal "padding" when he sits. I purchased this for him to take out to restaurants with no padded seating. Since he uses a cane I found a canvas bag easier to carry the seat mat. Look at the photos, this is not memory foam but is comfortable and durable.

The texture of the gel is uncomfortable, and it is oddly firm which actually increases pain to sit on. It definitely does not work as a seat cushion if you have pressure pain when sitting.
