Description

WHY QUICK CLONE? Simple. One of the most frustrating parts of the gardening season is slow and weak seedlings, and having to pay outrageous prices for inconsistent and unhealthy starts from the nursery. With Quick Clone, you can expect faster and stronger rooting clones. For professionals, that means faster turnaround times and larger profits. For home gardeners, it means getting more out of every harvest. This is what makes Quick Clone the 1 choice for pros and hobby gardeners alike. HOW IS QUICK CLONE USED?First, empty a small amount of Quick Clone gel into a small container. Then, take a healthy, new-growth cutting from your favorite plant at a 45-degree angle. The cutting should have at least two sets of leaves. Dip the cutting in the gel, and plant into a damp soil, a peat plug, or an aeroponic cloning machine. Wait anywhere from 5-10 days, making sure not to disturb the cutting in the medium. Patience is key. HOW IS QUICK CLONE MADE?First we start by brewing an organic tea from herbs, leaves and barks that are well known in organic gardening to boost root development. NO DYES. We then fortify the tea with over 60 ingredients. They include multiple rooting hormones at twice the concentration of most competitors, four different vitamins, a vegetative nutrient profile, and over a dozen amino acids. After a thorough mixing, a high quality, completely inert gelling agent is added. You will find our gel is thicker than the ones you may be used to. This is to seal the fresh cut on your clone more effectively, and encourage a much longer contact time than the thinner gels you may be using now. It takes us days to mix our gel, where it takes only minutes for others. But it is worth every extra step to ensure more consistent, faster and stronger clones for your garden. Buy Quick Clone now to find out for yourself.

  • Great for rooting hardwood fruit tree cuttings!
I’ve never had much much with rooting hardwood cuttings out of season but the apple twigs I cut in December and stored in the fridge for a couple weeks all sent out multiple sets of leaves in only three to four weeks! I’ll still need to keep the humidity fairly high for a while but I’m ecstatic at the success! This was a last ditch effort to bring my two apple trees from my old house with me-I didn’t know what one of the trees was other than amazing fruit quality and the other was an heirloom. I’m a master gardener but haven’t had any luck rooting hardwood cuttings in the past that weren’t either willows or forsythia...neither of which need any encouragement for cuttings to take. I don’t have much experience with grafting so I considered that to be an raven riskier option. To prepare the apple cuttings for rooting I cut the branches down into lengths that would fit under the tray cover and then used a sterile scalpel to lightly scrape away the layer of tough bark to expose the inner green layer for about half an inch. I then dipped the scraped ends into the gel (using a different container) and coating to above the scrape. These cuttings I then gently placed them into a cutting/seedling starter mix I made (1:1, organic fiber to mineral planting media). The tray was watered from the bottom and spray from the top before being covered and placed on a seedling heating mat set to 23 degrees Celsius. The lid is removed for a little while every day or so to minimize mold risk. I’ll keep the cuttings on the heat mat for longer than I would seedlings in order to ensure a good root system. I’m very pleased with how well this gel works-the acid level is higher than the others that I’ve been able to get a hold of so it’s much better suited for taking cuttings of older wood branches. I still wouldn’t try to root anything thicker than a pencil but even second year growth applewood has taken and rooted! I’ll definitely use this again as the farm I moved to doesn’t even have any feral apple trees due to a fire back in the 90s. A family friend has a very old abandoned orchard nearby that I can raid for cuttings both for rooting and grafting. I don’t mind the added years needed for the rooted cuttings to mature since I didn’t use a rootstock-these were heirloom trees that I just needed to salvage somehow and the farm has plenty of acreage for potentially standard size apple trees. The one tree that I knew the variety of is a natural dwarf on its own rootstock (it’s an old red fleshed heritage apple with burgundy wood and leaves), the other is unknown. Once the cuttings start to branch out in another year or two I’ll be able to take further cuttings to put onto a rootstock to ensure some earlier fruiting and a better size for the unknown apple. I’m not trying to use these to start a commercial orchard but the gel is working great to help me salvage family heirlooms. ... show more

  • High percentage of active ingredient.
This is one of the stronger rooting hormone available on the internet. I actually wanted to purchase clonex brand rooting hormone, but found that this one has a stronger percentage of active ingredient and so went for this instead. I was please to say that it has helped me root fig cuttings (I used this on just under 40 cuttings so far), and a lot of them responsed well and have produced very healthy and thick roots—even before any shoots appear. A small bottle lasts for a really long time—more than I anticipated, so do not get turn off by the cost. It works out to a very low cost since this will last you for many cuttings. The water gel is easy to apply on the roots of your cuttings using a simple art painting brush. I'm not going back to powder rooting hormone anymore. The gel stuff is superior and sticks on far better. Highly recommended. Update: This product has worked remarkable well. I used it to root 30+ fig cuttings and a great number of them not only rooted, but rooted extremely well with a thick network of roots even before the leaves have developed well. I never got such results from the powdered rooting hormone that I used in the past—and no surprise—this product has a much higher concentration of the active ingredient. This product works VERY well. ... show more

  • Very effective
One of the best cloning gels I have tried. Not way above the other gels but still I found that roots appear a little faster with this product.

  • Love it!
This product is amazing! Above and beyond, I am impressed. Some cuttings in a vegative state rooted in 4 days. Others can take 2 weeks+ depending on the particular genetics you are working with. This product saved us from losing precious genetics that were in full bloom due to human error and I am so happy about that! So far 100% success rates! Works well in a cloner. I was a little concerned about rot or mildew since some other natural /tea products do cause hidden issues with microbes as water breaks it down, but this one stays very stable! I've been checking on the clones and their water multiple times a day, no visible powdery mildew, algae or Cyanobacteria brown slime, which is common even when the water is well oxygenated. I haven't had to change the water out of necessity, just add more water if needed, but between rounds is perfect time to change it and clean the unit, as always. Some people using other products on the market have to change out the water and wash the whole cloner including running the pump in hydrogen peroxide, every few days with their flawed products, or even sooner to be sure to avoid rot. Not this one, I am no longer worried about that at all! This product has a perfect consistency of gel, not watery, and not jello-y, just right to work with. Smells like minty herbal earthy rooty goodness and the roots are exploding from a million places it seems, not just coming out of the bottom cut but all over the bottom of the stalk (no need to razor scrape outer layer of "skin" off) with vigor and the foliage on the clones look very healthy and happy and so am I! Thanks Element Nutrients! You are one in a million and I can't wait to try your upcoming new products! ... show more

  • Easy to use but poor performance
Thick, gel consistency, sticks to cuttings well. I was hoping that would lead to superior rooting of my cuttings, but it didn't. I was sticking harder to root cuttings so perhaps it wasn't strong enough. For my work, I prefer products that I can mix at different rates or that I can buy in several different strengths. Powder types seem to last longer & work better. Most liquid types don't have a very long shelf life & you have no way of judging that until the product arrives. ... show more
